05/05/24 update - Despite being in Alpha, has been an amazing game and the latest patch has changed a lot in game. Excited to see more.

A ginormous thanks to RankOne and TheFineArc for allowing me to try out this game. It was a lot of fun and even though it needs some work (because what game doesn't?), I see a lot of potential. Only real downside was I was unable to get in touch with anyone about what bugs I possibly found and was unable to get keys for friends to try this game out with. Other than that, an amazing experience!

Let me start by saying "Thank you" to RankOne for providing me with a key to try the game. Did a couple of runs with my boyfriend and I can safely say this isn't my cup of tea, at all. I can see the appeal of it, but I'm simply not the right audience for the genre. I did like the choice of old style, pixely graphics. I had some issues with climbing the narrow staircases to get to breakable items, but that wasn't that big of a deal. I'm sure the right people for it will find its charms and enjoy their time playing it. 🙂

I have never been a big dungeon crawler person, but I thoroughly enjoyed my time playing Cthulhu's Reach! The only thing I didn't love is that when I died, I would start back at the first dungeon.
