Astlibra Revision is an excellent game made by one CHAD of a dev (Keizo), with a lot of love (and updated art by Shigatake). It has some Japanese tropes that may leave you groaning and/or facepalming, and the time travel logic can get a bit iffy at times, but overall it's an amazing story that I wish I could replay again for the first time. Astlibra is a mix of JRPG and metroidvania. The combat is solid, with a lot of different weapons and skills to choose from. The soundtrack is all free songs, but don't underestimate them - some are absolute bangers, and all of them are pretty good. The animation may look a bit odd, but I think it unironically adds charm. One special thing I love is that the lore books can actually be used to find secrets - more games need that kind of thing. There are also meaningful choices, though rare (and that's fine), and the only missable achievement in a playthrough is if you don't play on hard mode or above. Astlibra Revision is a hidden gem, and I highly recommend it.
