Wuchang looks like it had potential but before I could resume my Let's Play, I found out the devs censored the killing of boss fights. ————————————————————— Personally I wouldn't recommend playing or supporting a team that's going to censor a game that's been released in multiple countries. ————————————————————— Either way, it's your choice but this is my unfortunate unfinished and final review.

Мой второй пройденный сосалик. В каких то локах поддушивал, какие то локи проходились спокойно. Особенно заебали мины на снежной локации (умирал от них бесчисленное количество раз) и болота с порчей. Да и сама порча заебала. Игру проходил с длинным мечом - хлыстом, т.к. пощупав остальные виды оружия, мне они показались не особо шустрыми. Изучил только одну школу - школу парирования. Парировал мобов каких можно было парировать, остальных проходил через увороты и проворство от магии. Некоторые боссы были норм, некоторые кайфовые, некоторые полный кал (особенно последний). У разрабов под конец будто бы идеи иссякли по поводу боссов и они просто сделали тварь с большим количеством хп и незамудренным сетом атак. Подытожив, могу сказать что это неплохой сосалик, который я не без удовольствия проходил. Со своими плюсами и минусами (плюсов, наверно, всё таки больше)

It wasn't the worst Souls-like I've played, but it definitely wasn't the best either. The game is actually pretty decent. I'd give it a firm 7/10. It just suffers from some janky hitboxes and unbalanced boss fights (most are pretty easy), as well as occasional performance issues (it didn't play super well with OBS, but it never crashed stream either). Multiple endings encourage replayability, and I likely will replay it to get them. Pick it up on discount or play it on Gamepass of PS Plus if it's on those.

Achieved the True Ending for my 1st Playthrough! Before I say anything else, allow me to say that this game was incredible, especially once it's control scheme and combat clicks! One of the most fun and unique Soulslikes I've played that borderlines a character action game! Gameplay: This game has a dodge mechanic that will be your foundation for every build and notably, for whichever build you decide to go with in this game! I personally went with the longsword class for the parrying since traditional parrying was locked to a few classes and felt right for me but there are different kinds of parrying for different weapons, so feel free to try out what you like! This game allows the player to respec their skill tree for free whenever which I thought was a really great feature and should be a staple for soulslikes going forward! While the early bosses aren't too tough, the later portion of the game after you meet this game's 1st skill check, WILL test your knowledge and use of your abilities in throughout it's remainder! Exploration is KEY to this game and extremely rewarding too, whether you find loot, key items, NPCs, or even a secret boss! The most unique thing about this game aside from balancing your feathering for weapon skills, quick swaps, or spell casts, is managing your madness meter, which provides a buff to your damage output at the cost of potentially clashing with your Inner Demon that could challenge you at a moments notice with a different weapon class you're wielding. This game does a great job of keeping the player on their guard constantly! Everyone's combination of playstyle and ending, may be vastly different from one another as a result, which adds to this game's replay-ability! Bonus perk, the whole game is on disc if you opt for a physical copy! Story: You play as Bai Wuchang, who is ill with a disease called the Feathering, in this game! From my understanding, Bai Wuchang has trouble with her memory and the player, sets out to find out what happened to her family as well as discover a cure and the secrets behind the Feathering. Along the way, you CAN encounter several NPCs but you may not as well, depending on your conversations, actions and inactions! As a result, Wuchang fights whatever stands in her way to uncover the truth, whatever that may be based on what the player chooses to do and believe (without spoiling ofc)! Can't elaborate much more without spoiling! Visuals: The game uses Unreal Engine 5 and while the visuals are gorgeous, it can be taxing on your PC if you are running the game on PC. I had several crashes but despite the crashes, I really loved this game! The level design and art direction were stunning and had me in awe several times. Some of the boss arenas were really gorgeous, one of them evoking two bosses from two completely different games at the same time! The character and boss designs in this game are really unique and detailed, with the outfits for Miss Bai Wuchang being really fun to mix and match through this game's transmog feature! Really gives the player a reason to keep playing and finding different ways to earn those outfits! OST: One of the most underrated parts of this game is it's OST! While the boss OSTs all range from pretty good to incredible, this OST for the levels themselves are very atmospheric and help build the mood and set the tone for whatever level you're in! One of my personal fave level OSTs is at the midway point of the game, when the atmospheric OST evokes feelings of dread and despair while parts of the scenery shows a colorful palette brimming with life at the top with the environment losing its color as it gets closer to the ground and Wuchang! Two OSTs really stood out to me, one was a few moments before fighting the final boss and the second being when the credits roll! Gorgeous soundtracks that capture the beauty that is Wuchang Fallen Feathers and really make the whole journey to the end worth! My final thoughts are, if you have Gamepass, definitely play this game, especially if you love Soulslikes! For those unsure, this game is pretty generous with its currency system and respec-ing is always free! In a VERY crowded 2025 with a lot of incredible releases, this game should NOT be missed out! One of the best and most unique Soulslikes of the year! Hope there's a sequel and rooting for these devs! GGs!

Defeated the FINAL boss of the game (way easier compared to the last two secret bosses leading up to the boss) on my FIFTH attempt! Got the True Ending of the game and it's easily become one of my fave soulslikes! This game has genuinely sparked a love for soulslikes in me! GGs to the devs and 505 games!!!
