O jogo possui duas opções de gameplay, jogando com a Nora ou com o Cliff, isso vai ser determinado por uma das primeiras escolhas do jogador no início do jogo. Claro que isso não muda tanto do jogo, vai mudar algumas cenas, mas caso queira o 100%, vai precisar zerar com os dois. Como trabalhador de uma lanchonete, você vai precisar servir os clientes, e com isso, vai descobrir mais sobre a história deles. Em alguns momento terá algumas decisões referentes a esses clientes, como também uma história mais aprofundada sobre. A gameplay de servir os clientes é muito boa, é legal fazer os lanches e entregar. Jogando nas memórias do clientes, você vai poder fazer algumas outras ações, mas nada muito 'UAU'. O gráfico do jogo é simples, com um filtro meio 'old' que deixa o gráfico mais ajeitado. A história, que é o foco principal, é muito boa, deixando aquele ar de interpretação no decorrer do jogo e no final também. Recomendo o jogo para quem gosta de um boa história. Minha nota é 10/10.

This game was recommended by our own WeenieSupreme - and it didn't disappoint! Why the lower rating then? Well... I don't think I'd play it again, but I appreciated it for what it was. Let's talk about that. Gameplay: I fumbled with the foodmaking a good bit. It was a bit difficult for me to pick up and understand how to do things efficiently and quickly, so I wasted a good amount of time. Other than that, the interactions are just walking around and clicking for orders/choosing things. Story: I liked the choices! It was difficult to keep all of the different stories straight, but I like that I had a hand in people's fates (even if the world ended :D) I thought they did a great job at telling difficult stories in a way that was gut wrenching (though not necessarily challenging or polarizing - something I missed) Visuals: It's a $6 game with intentionally pixelated graphics, but the first person view, the movement and tracing was a bit dizzying to me. I appreciated the horror elements of the apocalypse, though. Soundtrack: Honestly I don't remember much of it. What was there was good, though! Summary: I recommend playing this game at least once - it's cheap to buy, quick to pick up and put down.

While We Wait Here had a lot of potential, but unfortunately it falls a bit short. The retro graphics suits the game very well, and goes hand in hand with a story/dialogue driven game like this. The game takes place within a small diner along the highway, where you are chef, server and therapist for the different customers stopping by. Meanwhile outside, the world is coming to an end. Theres a dynamic change between different environments as you learn more about each character. Each place varies in action, horror, symbolism and overall gameplay. Some are just long cutscenes, where we get to know the characters through dialogue alone, whereas others are heavy on gameplay and symbolism, meaning we get to see deeper into the characters state of mind. The writers are clearly talented. The dialogue itself is well written, and the voice acting is great! The characters each have a stark personality, which shows in the individual design and body language. All that combined makes for some loveable (and quite so lovable) characters. Theres a great atmosphere within the diner, having them interrupt and talk over each other. This is definitely one of the points that makes this game stand out. It shows the writing has a certain depth. Maybe that's why I miss a few more options when interacting with them as the main character. There's pretty much one way of dialogue ending with you have to advice them either to do a or b. Often neither seemed very appealing. I also wish, i was able to talk to them beyond what progressed the story. Just having them say a line or acknowledge/look at you. Some characters also entered the diner in pairs. Here I really wanted to talk to one part, but wasn't able to. Its like they cant decide if it should be a choices matter or a psychological horror. In the end the choices doesn't really matter, and the inconsistency in how the backstories are portrayed, make it feel unbalanced. Especially right after having played Mouthwashing, a game heavy on storytelling through symbolism and gameplay along with strong well written dialog. Overall While we wait feels slightly undercooked. Its a shame cause the idea and talent was there. I'll definitely keep an eye on the devs and see what they come up with in the future. Peace and love 💜

Короткая, но сюжетно довольно глубокая игра, поднимающая относительно простые моральные ценности и дилеммы. В первом прохождении попалась в ловушку разрабов, пришлось перепроходить на вторую концовку :D Оставила очень приятное послевкусие. Движение - жизнь, иди вперёд, даже если кажется, что ты мёртв.
