Mark, an average irresponsible high school student, tries to get by and find purpose in a humdrum life of scrolling, cramming, and traffic. He meets friends, both old and new, and embarks upon a seemingly never-ending trouble, until nothing is ever the same again. Until Then is a contemporary adventure game inspired by the Philippines, its lifestyle, and culture. Es un juego completamente increíble tanto a nivel narrativo, como visual, como artístico, como musical, como de desarrollo de personajes, como para partirte el corazón y pisoteártelo repetidas veces. Es una aventura narrativa bastante extensa con una trama que ni una telenovela turca, es impresionante como logra atraparte aun teniendo que acabar el juego tres veces para saber realmente qué está ocurriendo, hace que te encariñes con todos los personajes y que llores a mares al mínimo descuido, por esto mismo si estás pasando por un mal momento o has perdido a alguien recientemente y no quieres enfrentarte a todo lo que te va a hacer sentir este juego (que es muy valioso pero también bastante duro) pues te recomiendo que lo dejes para más adelante. Se lo recomiendo a todo el mundo que quiera experimentar una historia sublime, con un mensaje potente y duro, pero también esperanzador y que visualmente podrás disfrutar de un pixelart tan genial que parecerá que te estés viendo una película. Si quieres llorar fuerte este es tu juego, no ofrecerá desafíos mecánicos pero desde luego que si de gestión emocional, y a pesar de todas las lágrimas lo jugaría una y mil veces, no me lo esperaba pero puede ser que se haya convertido en uno de mis juegos favoritos porque nunca en la vida había sentido cosa tan fuertes jugando a un videojuego, es sublime. PD. Los desarrolladores tienen un problema serio, cabr*nes como le saben pero que mal de la chola están, gracias por esta experiencia increíble pero me cago un poco en todos sus moertos también, y si lo juegas alguna vez que espero que si me entenderás 🥰

One of those games, which you randomly stuble across one day and then...proceed to absolutely love every second of it. Rare case for sure, but it's exactly why this game is a gem, pretty well hidden, if I may say. Having literally no expectations, since I found it myself through steam recommendations, I was ABSOLUTELY DEMOLISHED by what I've experienced. Holy shit this is ART. Creative, touching, heartfelt and soulful. One which carves itself into your memory so deep you can't possibly ever forget.

🐧 Läuft unter POP!-OS 22.04 mit Proton 9.0-2 einwandfrei Ich hab super viel von diesem Spiel erwartet. Tatsächlich lungerte "Until Then" schon seit einiger Zeit auf meiner Wishlist, aber der Vollpreis hat mich zögern lassen. Gut 20€ sind ne Menge, und tbh informiere ich mich vorab nur so weit wie nötig über ein Spiel, bevor ich es anpacke. Aber nachdem Krispy die Demo gespielt und sich einige das Game auf meinem Channel gewünscht haben (und das Spiel auch noch im Angebot war), hab ich zugeschlagen - und oh Boy, dieses Spiel schlägt gewaltig zurück! Until then ist eine wundervolle Geschichte, die man als interaktives Visual Novel erlebt. Ein wichtiger Tipp: Startet das Spiel nach dem ersten Run direkt nochmal. Ich hoffe, ihr seid neugierig genug, um es von selbst zu tun, aber ich wäre nicht unbedingt von selbst darauf gekommen - dabei ging das Spiel da erst richtig los! Die Geschichte, die Until Then erzählt, bewegt tief! Sie erzählt von Verlust, von Liebe, von Sturheit und der tiefen Bedeutung von Freundschaft, und das auf eine so subtile, vorsichtige, aber bestimmte Art und Weise, dass es mich am Ende genauso von den Söckchen gehauen hat wie den gesamten Chat. Taschentücher mussten an diversen Stellen im Spiel verteilt werden, und für mich ist das immer ein biggo Pluspunkt FÜR die Story in einem Spiel. Ich habe viel erwartet - und ich habe SO VIEL mehr bekommen. Eine bewegende Geschichte, die mich noch nicht so recht loslassen will; Charaktere, die mir so sehr ans Herz gewachsen sind, dass es ein bisschen wehtut, sie nun zurückzulassen. Until Then war eine unglaubliche Erfahrung, also bleibt mir an dieser Stelle nur noch, eine dicke, fette Empfehlung auszusprechen - WENN du bereit dafür bist!
