SCORE: 4.5/5
Story:
Two years after the second game, treasure hunters Nate and Sully are in London to sell the ring of Sir Francis Drake to a Mr. Talbot. The duo accuse him of using counterfeit money and a fight starts, and thus also a long chase for the ring and the treasure it leads to.
What I loved the most about the story of this game is that you finally get to know how Nate and Sully met in the first place, why they have this family-like bond. The story-telling is very well done as well, with some chapters that make you question the reality of things!
The humor, the interaction between the characters and their relationship just feels so natural and real.
Visuals:
I played the Remastered version and to me, the game looks awesome!
They slightly changed the look of the characters for each game. The world is very beautifully done.
Audio:
Just like in the previous games, the voice acting is awesome, audio is well balanced and of high quality. The music is peak!
Gameplay:
I had my fair share of struggles with the janky controls in the previous Uncharted games, mostly the cover-system, with which I could never make Nate go and do what I want when it really mattered, aka when surrounded by a bazillion enemies. In THIS game, cover and overall controls felt WAY smoother and more responsive! Nice.
I LOVED that they added more climbing and also more complex puzzles. It was still packed with action, of course, but it added a bit more variety. The pacing was great too. After a lot of shooting and almost-deaths, you got a bit of a breather.
The gunplay was fun and they offered a few new weapons that I loved testing out!
One of my favorites was the melee-combat. The Quick-Time-Fist-Fights were SO fun, especially those boss-fights against the big brutes. LOVED it!
Enjoyment:
This was probably my favorite out of the first three games. They're all great, but story-wise they feel like one big tale to me, so it's hard to keep them separate. But gameplay-wise and the fact we get more background information in this one made it stand out to me!
Difficulty:
Nate still goes down quite easily, especially with the heavy artillery the enemies bring. And they often come well padded in tanky armor! The puzzles were probably tougher than those of the previous titles, but nothing brain-wrecking. I'd say it's still of medium difficulty.
Audience:
I'd say it's fine for teenagers.
Grind:
It wasn't grindy to me. I missed a LOT of the treasures. If you want to complete this game, find all "shinies" and unlock all skins etc, it'll probably take you a while, but of course that is optional.
Bugs:
I had a few ones, mostly Nate dying when dropping down in an area where he should be able to land (there was even a treasure). But nothing game-breaking.
Replayability:
As said before, you can find a lot of treaures that are quite elusive, tons of skins to unlock etc. But it has only one ending.
How did YOU like Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception?
For a long time, i've always said I prefer Uncharted 2 over 3. I think that's the general consensus amongst fans, but that's not to say 3 was a bad game. Far from it actually. While I find that Uncharted 3 has a heavier focus on puzzles compared to the 2nd game, it also features the most refined melee combat of the 3 games. It also features the trickiest of enemy AI. Maybe it's cause I was playing on hard mode, but these guys parkoured as much as Nathan Drake does, so you actually had to plan smart to get around them and kill them, which made the game fun albeit infuriating at times. In the end, Uncharted 3 has some good going for it, but I still place 2 above it personally

My favorite Uncharted game 10/10
I remember enjoying this a bit more than Uncharted 2.
