Story seems a bit slow-paced for me. It's kind of boring at first, explore and chitty-chatty with cityfolk. However, as the scenes progress, it becomes more interesting—not too intense, but good enough to keep me intact. Didn't expect this game made by DON'T NOD, so indeed the gameplay mostly about walk and interact. Also, there are different endings. I'm glad my first was good one but also shocked by the twist. After first playthrough, you unlock 'Collectible Mode' in 'Scenes' mode, allowing you to go back and find any missed Memories or Mementos. Like Tell Me Why and Life is Strange, gameplay mainly involves walking around and interacting with either people or objects, but it's cool that you get to play PAC-MAN. The main character, Sam, has an imaginary friend who offers options or help, so when it comes to a decision-making, you either choose Sam's own choice or his imaginary friend's. During investigation scenes, you explore the area to collect clues, then go to Sam's peace place called the mind palace to reconstruct the scene—validate your hypothesis.

Another game from Don't Nod. We play as investigative journalist Sam in his old hometown, where he is nto very welcome anymore. We meet many NPCs, who have a history with Sam, when we try to discover, if Sam's best friend's death was an accident or not. Although the story idea was nice, imho it had potential for more. His sidekick is more confusing than helping at the beginning, to be honest. Also travelling in other dimensions seems sometimes even out of place and creates more confusion than helps the story to progress. All in all: nice game, definitely worth a playthrough, decent script and great voice actors together with a very appealing visual setting. Full Steam review: In this game we play as Sam, who is going back to his hometown (where he is basically not welcome) for the funeral of his best friend. The friend's daughter does not believe in an accident, so Sam starts an investigation. Compared to other games of this developer, the game is IMHO holding back. Although the story was nice, it had potential for more. Sometimes the game even starts to be quite confusing through the implementation of other "dimensions". Through the investigations, some details could easily be overlooked, so that additional time was spent to search for little details. Nevertheless, good voice acting, great dialogues and decent graphics make this game nevertheless recommendable for fans of story based games.
