The Witch's House, originally released in 2012, falls within the tradition of Japanese horror RPGs with heavy emphasis on puzzle-solving and jump scares. The Witch's House is deliberately designed with traps at almost every turn--sudden death is unpredictable and it keeps players on their toes. Anything can happen at any time. With completely remastered visuals, The Witch's House MV will feel fresh to even the most familiar old-school fans. Fans will also be greeted by a new difficulty mode that includes new events upon completion of the base game.

One of the Horror Rpgmakers I've played, but never finished. Though I say that, I know about the story up until the end, the twist is quite cruel. There were a lot of death-traps, and replaying is quite common here as you can easily make mistakes and simply perish.

Очень коротенькая пиксельная инди-головоломка, с простыми загадками. Временами скучновато, но длина игры не дает задушиться, а (true)концовка оставляет очень яркое послевкусие

Game looked cute, but don't let that fool you, as it's a trap to ensnare you into the Witch's house. This horror is one of a kind and a game I loved, which you can pick up the free version on vgperson and other games like Ib too. Story revolves around Viola, as she gets trapped in a forest and stumbles upon the Witch's house. Short game, but replay value for achievement hunters and anyone who can handle playing the game more than once (Not me).

Bought this for the nostalgia, I remember playing this when I was too young to and never got the chance to beat it. The game is really fun! It's pretty short and linear but I genuinely got some good spooks, I generally just had a lot of fun, and the inclusion of the new difficulty is great. The sprites and art in general are also wonderful. Overall, it's a recommendation from me if you don't mind it being a short but sweet experience.

Gameplay - Very simple, only uses three actual buttons plus the arrow keys to move around. There were many hints, and while they were nice to have, they were also predictable in various areas. The monsters were very fast, and sometimes I would get stuck on a corner of an object or sprite, but otherwise it was smooth and felt good. Story - Very short, and pretty vague. Sure, we know there's a house and a witch, but it never touches on why or how the witch is there, how they became a witch, etc. I'm a bit of a sucker for lore, even if it's something simple like "An angry spirit". Overall though, it did not have plot holes or unclosed events, so that was refreshing to see! Visuals - I did not find any problems or qualms with the visuals. Personally, I would've liked a little more, but I'm also comparing this to Mad Father, which had more dialogue and whenever a character spoke, there was a detailed depiction of them by the text box. Soundtrack - A bit repetitive, but for such a short game, it works. Some of the noises and monsters were a bit too loud, and I would've liked some more screams, grunts, or natural noises that went with what was going on in the scene, like the crying statue didn't sound like it was crying, and no evil laughter at the end of game during the big boss encounter, but it worked for what the game offered!
