The Walking Dead: Season One (also known as The Walking Dead: The Game) is an episodic interactive drama graphic adventure video game developed and published by Telltale Games. Based on Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead comic book series, the game consists of five episodes, released between April and November 2012. It is available for Android, iOS, Kindle Fire HDX, Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game is the first of The Walking Dead video game series published by Telltale.

This game was a wild ride from start to finish. As a fan of the original comic book series I didn't know what to expect and it was amazing to see the evolution of the controls and the UI with every game. I definitely felt the frustration and panic in the storytelling and though I may not have agreed with every choice presented it was a fantastic time!

I love the style of game TellTale games has created with this one. The story really draws you in and ot was great that it reactions to your actions. After the season, it has definitely made me want to play more TellTale games.

Проходил данный шедевр в далеком 2013-м, и решил пройти снова. И не пожалел, отличный пример как игры делаются с толком и как они могут раз за разом дергать ваши струны души даже при повторном прохождении. Если вы еще не играли, то крайне рекомендую.

A fantastic Game that aged very well. It's a great Point-And-Click with occasional QTEs and decision-trees. Even if the decisions don't matter as much as the game wants you to believe.

As a huge fan of The Walking Dead series, this game holds a special place in my heart. A truly moving work from Telltale, it initially stars Lee Everett -- for many, the game's best character. Before the outbreak, Lee was a history professor at the University of Georgia. His hometown was Macon, where his parents and brother lived. He felt abandoned by his family after killing Senator Sam, who was having an affair with his wife. However, Lee is considered an intelligent, independent, and kind character. He is fiercely protective of Clementine—the deuteragonist of the first season—a 8-year-old girl who lived in suburban Georgia with her parents. The soundtrack is striking, solid, and perfectly fits the context of each scene and interaction. The most notable is "Clementine Suite," which brings back memories of the first chapter and Lee and Clem's interactions. The characters are well-developed, earning praise for their depth and complexity. They create a strong connection with the player. The emotional impact of difficult decisions and the consequences of the player's actions is immense, making the gameplay experience highly memorable. The comic-book-style contributes significantly to the dark and impactful atmosphere of the TWD universe. Ultimately, this game captivates you from start to finish.
