The Last of Us is a third-person action-adventure game featuring a mix of exploration, stealth and combat. Players face both infected creatures and hostile human enemies while progressing through varied environments. The game includes a narrative-driven single-player campaign and a competitive online multiplayer mode called Factions. This marked a turning point in gaming history. I still remember specifically buying a PS3 to try this game out and being absolutely BLOWN AWAY by the game mechanics and visuals. It was years ahead any of the competition in the way the game performed and unlike anything I had ever experienced gaming wise. And then you go into the story... wow. Easily one of the most engaging and heartfelt stories that gaming has ever given us as a community. Not just another zombie infection game, it is so much more. Have recommended this game religiously ever since I picked it up for the first time, that will never change. 10/10 anyone who says otherwise is wrong ;)

Il "colpo " finale della generazione della PS3 è, per tecnica, The last of us. Naughty Dog si conferma la migliore casa produttrice mai esistita con un titolo che spezza il filone tra game e film grazie alla sua trama matura e i componenti cinematografici di alto livello. Nonostante diverse somiglianze con Uncharted, il titolo è davvero unico nel suo genere ed appassiona grazie a un comparto tecnico magistrale e a personaggi davvero carismatici. L'unica pecca che possiamo attribuire(non piccola) è il finale di una trama che si svolge davvero sopra le righe e fa intendere un finale ad effetto. E invece niente, un finale semi-aperto ed incompleto impediscono al gioco di raggiungere l'eccellenza. Peccato perchè il gioco è praticamente perfetto sotto tutti i punti di vista.
