Tales of Kenzera: Zau is a 2.5D metroidvania developed by Surgent Studios and published under the EA Originals label. The game follows Zau, a young shaman who bargains with Kalunga, the God of Death, to revive his father. Players explore the mythological lands of Kenzera, using Zau's athletic abilities—such as double jumping, wall jumping, and air dashing—to traverse the environment. Equipped with the sun mask for melee attacks and the moon mask for ranged combat, Zau can upgrade both weapons along distinct paths. As players gain new skills, they unlock previously inaccessible areas, progressing through a world filled with ancestral spirits and powerful monsters.

I was hoping for more with this game. It is a very light metroidvania with mostly easy combat and bosses. I wish I tried the most challenging difficulty, but I selected the second-to-highest difficulty. The combat system allowed you to equip two different move sets at any time, and upgrade each individually. The upgrades were easy to complete, and have extra points available that went to no use. The platforming and combat challenges were quite easy. The visuals were great, and the story was good. This would be a good entry game to metroidvanias, but if you are an experienced player with them, it lacks much of what would draw you to this genre.

Well made Metroidvania platformer with a nice story, I played it on the hardest difficulty and it was a decent challange. If like the "Ori and ..." you will like this one too, many similar machenics.

Jogo de plataforma muito show de bola, o design extremamente lindo, gameplay gostosinha e a história é bem boa. Fora que traz uma pegada cultural muito bacana. Recomendo!

#139- Tinha este jogo debaixo do meu radar por um belo tempo já! Decidi finalmente jogar pois é um jogo mais curto e assim dava para jogar enquanto jogo Warframe, e que bela decisão que eu fiz, este jogo era tudo o que estava a espera, a gameplay é fluída e honestamente divertida de se jogar, tem uma história boa até mas nota-se que esse não é o ponto do jogo! Muito feliz de adicionar este jogo a minha coleção de platinas.

Was ein Brett von einem Game. Da wäre zunächst die emotionale Reise eines Schamanen, der versucht seinen Vater aus dem Totenreich zu retten. Das Ganze eingebettet in einem Setting von afrikanischen Kulturen, was aus meiner Sicht noch ein wenig unverbraucht wirkt. Das Gameplay ist sehr gut ausgefallen, spielt sich auch sehr flüssig. die Fähigkeiten, die man im Laufe des Spielens bekommt, gehen alle super von der Hand. Kein Fingerverkrampfen oder Buttonsmashing. Negativ ist mir das Trefferfeedback aufgefallen und die Tatsache, dass Gegner obwohl du Spezialattacken machst oder sie generell triffst, die nicht gestunt werden und sie seelenruhig ihre Angriffe starten können. Das ist manchmal nervig, genauso wie manchmal einem die Übersicht in Gegnerräumen fehlt. Die Visuals sind der Knaller und gefallen. Das afrikanische Setting wird super umgesetzt, sehr atmosphärisch. Man hat das Gefühl, dass man mittendrinnen in der Geschichte ist. Macht richtig Laune. Die Story ist sowieso emotional gut geschrieben und gefällt mir zum Beispiel besser als in Prince of Persia. Die beiden Games bewegen sich aber in einer ähnlichen Spähre. Tales of Kenzera: ZAU bekommt 9 / 10 Schamanenpunkte.

Tales of Kenzaera: ZAU, Simplificando, o jogo é lindo. Os visuais são lindos, a música é linda, a história é tocante extremamente interessante e abordando uma linda cultura. A jogabilidade é muito boa, não tem o que reclamarz combates rápido e plataforma desafiadora com sua difícil na medida do possível. Esta foi uma experiência completamente satisfatória do começo ao fim. Definitivamente um exelente jogo estilo Metroidvania e foi meu primeiro jogo no estilo infelizmente tendo outros muitos melhores. jogo platinado.

This game came out of left field for me and turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Simply put, the game is beautiful. The visuals are beautiful, the music is beautiful, the story is touching, and the gameplay is rock solid with fast paced combat and challenging platforming. This was a thoroughly satisfying experience from beginning to end. Definitely a must play imo.

André - Tales Of Kenzaera ZAU foi um jogo que fiquei extremamente no hype para jogar, e que surpresa, o jogo não me decepciona, boa gameplay, dificil na medida do possível, porém extremamente interessante e abordando uma linda cultura, jogo platinado.
