Okay, this was really fun! It's also the first souls-like game I've beaten, so it's memorable for that. It's very artsy, the story is simple, and the characters are actually some people I recognize from history class way back in the day, so that was nice too. The combat was fun and fluid, not clunky like some of the other souls-like games I've played, and it's still sneaky with the placement of enemies to make it "hard". It was really nice to be able explore the five or so main areas and open up connections to make traversal easier the further you got into the level, and the upgrades we get don't feel too gimmicky. As someone who doesn't play these types of games often, this was a really enjoyable experience.

#176 - First soulslike I ever finished! This one is quite easier than all the other ones so its a perfect entry point to these games, I say easier not easy tho, u can still die pretty fast. I liked the echoes in this game that work as "cutscenes" which is a nice touch and overall it was fun! The dlc was quite short tho.

Its a fair souls-like with a bit of clunkiness at times. Can't really remember any of the soundtrack, but the main game and the DLCs story were fine. Good for a playthrough, really couldn't see myself playing it again.

I am unable to finish it, very rough bosses due to the automaton theme.

This might be my first and last playing soulslike... or not?
Dear god, I was in despair after almost 5 hours of playing. But then I remembered watching a streamer fight Malenia with a RL1, I even watch (not entirely) Kai's 100+ hour Elden Ring. They kept losing and trying again and again, and I realized I need to play with patience. So yeah, it works for me (in this game).
My first play took about 12 hours, including several side quests, reading a bit of lore, and unlocking the 1st ending. 2nd play was NG+ took 11 hours, it was for unlocking some achievements, learning more about the lore, collecting all echoes, and somehow got 3rd ending. I wasn't sure how I did it, but it showed that your choices do matter. There are three endings in total.
I agree that Steelrising is not too difficult (after my first 5 hours, of course), but it does have some very challenging moments. The game features Immobilisation, which the enemies get stunned when the diamond is filled, allowing you to hit a critical attack. You can use throwable bombs like flame to ignite, frost to freeze, and explosive goes explode. I chose the Dancer class and my favorite weapons are Armoured Fans and Requiem Mallet.
There are Unstable bosses and main bosses. The Unstable bosses weren't very hard for me, though I died 2-4 times. However, the two main bosses, The Selenite and The Bishop gave me motion sickness. The rest were a mix, some 1st try, others took 2-5 runs. If the game is too hard, you can always turn on assist mode, but I decided not to use it to see how far I could go on my own.
Overall, I enjoyed the story, the combat, the character design, and the world. The only issue was the performance. But if the game were more polished, it would be amazing.
I learnt that playing soulslike games requires a lot of time and patience. You might win on your first try with some bosses, but you'll also died a couple of times. This game and maybe other soulslike games gives me 3 feels: intimidation, frustration, and satisfaction. It's worth the struggle. I thank my friend for this game.
Platinado!
Мне очень понравилась, 10 из 10 ^^

This is pretty much the most surprising game I've ever played. Started playing it because of the French Revolution background, but it turned out to be a lovely soulslike game, with challenging boss fights and lots of dialogues to remember the real history.

It's really fun, especially parrying people, the aesthetic is cool and the bosses are interesting, except one. I guess the only bad things are some of the choices. Some enemies are just not fun to fight against, one boss was just a weak lil back into corners bullock, and there were a couple crashes and glitches. The one glitch I hated was a locked chest that was locked because I explored before finishing the level. That really sent me. I still loved this game though, and it's definitely worth a play.
