The second edition of State of Decay is luckily in many things similar to the first one. With new protagonists, new vehicles and weapons the aim is again to survive in a zombie apocalypse. The juggernaut edition adds a lot of additional challenge to the game and makes the player fight for survival. Some of the survivors may die, but that is a sacrifice one has to be willing to make. Many deaths may be avoided by not being too cocky/brave, but if it happens too often, the colony may be on the brink of being extinct. This game is good for many hours of entertaining zombie-slaughtering and due to some nice features, tjhe replay valua is also quite high. The game is easy to learn and has many similarities to the first edition of "state of decay", if one has played it. Do you have what it takes to survive? Find it out! Strong recommendation on this nice game. Full Steam review: After playing through the first part of this series, it was finally time to test the second edition. This game does not require the player to have played the first part, but it helps a little. In this game's "juggernaut edition", there are new kinds of enemies, which are not in the first part of the game. The rest is quite the usual: gather materials and expand the base, get vehicles, fuel and ammo, build a colony consisting of members with different skills and try to survive. But not necessarily every member of the colony WILL survive - on the contrary: it MAY be that the colony is on the edge of complete destruction, but a comeback is possible, if one focuses on rather easy tasks instead of being too brave. A nice zombie-themed game for many hours of entertaining gameplay. Recommended.

Had a lot of fun playing it the first time around but don't know if I can enjoy it as much anymore. I've moved onto different games since then but it is much more stable than some other zombie survival games that I've played and its admirable what the devs put forth the effort to create. If you are into this genre of game I definitely recommend it.

Compared to the first game there wasn't big enough of a difference or content addition that kept me intrigued enough to like this as much as the first.

I bought this game on release when it first came out on the windows store, and decided to pick up the Juggernaut Edition on stream a couple of weeks ago. I must say this is a very fun game with a lot of newly added content like the bounties, new maps, game modes, and other quality of life improvements. This game has definitely been made better by the years of ever expanding content. There are still a few bugs here and there but nothing that will ruin the game play for you just some minor inconveniences. Here’s hoping the 3rd game will be just as good if not better as this installment.
