It was a fun game to say the least, I did however prefer the first one in the series. Like it wasn't a bad game at all but I just think they made the map not as good, like it was too big, nothing seemed as memorable. I wish the main character of the story was Timmy instead so I could play as him instead of no name mcgee!

relatively boring, there's not a lot to go by when you first play it and apparently, its a sequel, i did not know this when i bought it, fun with friends tho

It lacked a bit of stuff upon the original/early release. Now that it is more complete it is a completely different game. The exploring and story of this game is great and has multiple endings depending on how you go about it. The building in this game is super interesting and makes it more realistic than the prequel

Sons of the Forest builds brilliantly on the foundations of its predecessor, delivering a survival horror experience that feels more refined, immersive, and dynamic. The improvements across the board—from the graphics and AI to the building mechanics—make it clear that the developers took player feedback seriously. What really elevates the game is co-op play. Exploring the hauntingly beautiful island with friends transforms the tension and horror into a shared, unforgettable adventure. Working together to build shelters, scavenge for supplies, and face terrifying mutants adds a whole new level of fun and strategy. However, the story was a bit of a letdown. While the atmosphere and world-building are solid, the narrative didn’t land quite as well this time around. It felt less compelling compared to the first game, which is unfortunate given how much potential the mystery had. Still, Sons of the Forest is a gripping, often intense experience that thrives in multiplayer. If you enjoyed The Forest, you’ll likely find this a worthy and much-improved successor—just don’t expect the story to blow you away.
