Silent Hill 3 is the third installment in the Silent Hill series. Like the previous entries, Silent Hill 3 is a survival horror combining action-based combat and puzzle-solving, but is somewhat more combat-oriented than the preceding installments. The main character is able to side-step and block some attacks, but in general shares with the other protagonists of the series their relative ineptitude in combat.

Silent Hill 3 is one of my favorite ps2 games. This game really nails the atmosphere, music, game-play, and story. One of if not the best in the series. This game serves as a direct sequel to the first game and takes everything about sh1 and sh2 and improves on that formula. Absolutely worth a play!

My first playthrough of Silent Hill 3 has been so much fun. Like many early 2000s Survival Horror games, SH3 holds up remarkably well. The graphics still look good, the sound design is unsettling and the atmosphere is perfectly creepy and immersive. SH3 is definitely tougher than Silent Hill 2 but in a satisfying way. I loved racking my brain on the puzzles. They were challenging but well designed. Silent Hill puzzles are always a favourite of mine to tackle in these games. Heather is such a likeable protagonist that she's become one of my favourite video game characters. She is feisty and tough, and it's easy to believe that a teenager like her could survive the horrors of Silent Hill on her own. The monsters are much tougher than in SH2, so it's usually best to avoid combat whenever possible. The game uses tank controls like many horror games of its era, but I adapted quickly since it has become second nature to me having grown up with games that used them. The dynamic camera angles mostly add to the tension of not knowing what lies ahead, and you can always reset the camera behind Heather with the L2 button. However, during intense combat, the camera can occasionally hinder you. I also found myself getting lost at times, mainly because the game doesn't always provide the map immediately in new areas. I relied heavily on the map, as the locations can get very confusing. It would have been helpful to receive the map earlier. Overall, I had an incredible time with Silent Hill 3. I can see why this is considered a fan favourite. This game holds up beautifully and i highly recommend to fans of horror or the Silent Hill series.

SCORE: 4/5 Story: 4/5 Without going into detail, this game is a continuation of the plot from the first Silent Hill. While story of the original game was quite hard for me to grasp, this one was pretty easily laid out and straight forward, but also not mind-blowing. Visuals: 5/5 I played with mods that added HD textures, 60fps and widescreen. For its time, the game looked amazing that way! Soundtrack: 4/5 Some nice tunes that really added to the eerie atmosphere. Sadly some of them were copyrighted, ugh. Gameplay: 3/5 For the most part I enjoyed my time with the game a LOT. There were two fights in the last quarter of the game that I struggled with, the endboss had me enable "Beginner mode" after blasting all the ammo I had into it (which was >20 Shotgun shells, >40 Pistol bullets, >60 Submachinegun bullets), using up all my healing items and having to hit it with melee weapons in the end. I tried that for 20 minutes, died a few times and eventually just had enough. On Beginner mode the boss went down after 5 pistol shots... what. the. heck. Difficulty: 4/5 I played the game on Normal difficulty for both gameplay and puzzles and had a relatively easy time apart from the aforementioned two boss fights. Most of the puzzles were really easy for me, two of them were medium. Enjoyment: This was a great classic survival horror game! Great jumpscares, awesome atmosphere and some funny lines! Audience: Another game that I'd only recommend for adults. Grind: None, really. Bugs: I had only minor graphic glitches, and those were due to the wide-screen mod. Replayability: After beating the game you unlock new weapons (one of them having unlimited ammo!) to make the next run a bit more fun. The story doesn't change really, but there are three different endings, one of them being a "joke" one according to my research.

Silent Hill 3 dos primeros 3 jogos da franquia que eu joguei é o meu favorito. Talvez ele não seja o melhor dos 3, mas me cativou mais que os anteriores. Mais uma vez repitindo, silent hill trablha com um terror psicologico, ele vai construir o susto durante o jogo e criando situações onde você sente medo do que esta acontecendo ou esta para acontecer. Seu gameplay mais uma vez não sofreu praticamente nenhuma evolução com os anteriores. Os comandos duros ainda estão presentes aqui. Acho que o unico detalhe que eu lembro que foi pra mim uma evolução mas infelizmente só fui descobrir no final do jogo é que você agora pode defender. O quebra-cabeças continuam presentes e SUPER recomendo deixar a dificuldade no normal, a não ser que você já tenha lido todos os livros de shakespeare. O que é bom pois ele regula a dificuldade dependendo do que você deseja sentir durante o gameplay. Sua historia finalmente é uma continuação direta dos acontecimentos do silent hill 1. Jogamos com uma garota que começa a notar que tem sonhos a todo momento que a levam de volta para silent hill. Apos isso a principal quer entender o que esta acontecendo. Sim não vou dar muitos detalhes de novo para não estragar a experiencia de ninguem. Aqui ainda existe todo o lance simbolico onde o jogador precisa interpretar o que esta acontecendo a sua frente. Seu visual é bonito mas não superou muito o 2, podemos ver que muita coisa foi mantida, mas temos uma nova historia. O personagens continuam com detalhe e personalidade que causam os efeitos certos nos momentos certos. Agora a soundtrack ao meu ver perdeu qualidade comparado com os anteriores. Ainda se mantem o padrão silencio e climatização e musica mais dramatica em momentos chaves, mas não sei explicar. Sinto que em alguns pontos a musica meio que ficou perdida sabe. Como se não adicionasse nada a experiencia do que esta ocorrendo ali. O que mais me cativou nesse jogo foi a personagem principal. Justamente por conta dela que eu considero esse o meu preferido até o momento. Assim como os anteriores. Foi um jogo que envelheceu mal seus comandos duros e recomendo para amantes de terror survivor e jogos mais retors.

Buen juego lastima medio complicado jugarlo en pc o tratar de aplicarle los fixes , fuera de ello el juego se deja disfrutar. La historia es bastante simple al comienzo pero a medida que lo estas por terminar empiezan a explicar bastante lore de Harry, haciéndolo mas profundo, y dándole mas personalidad a el y a otros secundarios. El gameplay no cambia mucho de lo visto en el 2 pero agrega una variedad de armas y Rejugabilidad para desbloquear algunas también . ningún enemigo presenta una gran amenaza pero si una mal gestión de recursos quizás te haga volver a un save anterior como me paso al final de llegar al Boss con una sola curación. Los puzzles son bastante interesantes aunque muchos te den las pistas en la mano aparentan ser mas complicados de lo que son, he perdido bastante tiempo en el momento de ordenar los libros en la pared pensando que tenia alguna complejidad escondida además del orden de los libros con el numero y incluían los dibujos de la tapa pero no, solo era ordenar por numero jajaja. Otro que estuve un tiempo para resolver fue el problema del reloj donde tenes que marcar el codigo en el maletin, el reloj. presenta las agujas de hora y minutos pero hay borrada o manchada como una linea del mismo largo de la aguja de la hora. Pensé que había que sumar las horas y despues los minutos. No solo hay que colocar las horas y minutos quedandote 4 digitos y listo.... me senti un idiota......... Los graficos son muy de la epoca, los rostros se ven geniales y se expresan muy bien pero a veces contrasta mucho ver los personajes y la pared con pixeles que puedes contar con la mano. El PCFIX no ayuda mucho a las sombras a veces pareciendo del roblox xd y aunque los efectos especiales se repiten a cada rato en los enemigos y parece bastante básico como se escucha la reacción del mundo se pasa bastante por alto. La música es un joyita y mas al momento de terminarlo,,,, 🚬
