Many people say this game is the pinnacle of the Civilization series. Now I do not agree on that, but the gameplay is both relaxing and strategic, and offers a unique experience with each playthrough. The visuals, while not the most detailed, still manage to convey the serious nature of the game while also incorporating comical elements. The story is fantastic, taking real-life historical events and crafting a fictional narrative that is both engaging and memorable. The soundtrack is exceptional, with "Baba Yetu" standing out as a true masterpiece. Overall, this game is something I played a lot for a good reason, as it is what a strategy game should be, and it's no wonder people consider it the best Civ. However, the one flaw I found is that the late game can become quite slow and tedious. But hey, Rome wasn't built in a day, right?
