Resident Evil Code: Veronica X is a port of the original game with additional content comprised of improved graphics along with an extra nine minutes of cutscenes. The character Steve had his hairstyle changed to have a noticeable fringe, and no longer proudly shows his forehead. This change was made to all cutscenes that feature him, as well as to the family photograph he carries with him. Apart from these changes, the game is almost the same as the original one.

At the end of the day, it is fine. I feel like I was enjoying it until the fight against Nosferatu. That fight really brought my enthusiasm for the game down and I never quite recovered it for the last chunk of the game. If I didn't have my guide (Ninja, resident RE lover and lore master), I'm not sure I would've completed the game. I feel like if this game got a little updated it would be a decently solid RE game.

Tank controls suck... how the heck did we deal with this? I am terrible at them. This is no fault of the game, but it did tarnish my likeness to it. I played all the way through and got stuck at the final boss. My extra saves did not save me and I was not starting all the way back to do it again.... at least not right now at least
