Despite earlier rumors of a downgraded port due to the PlayStation 2's hardware limitations, this port of Resident Evil 4 have been generally favorable. Almost all the GameCube's real-time cut scenes were converted into movie files in order to maintain a better quality. Furthermore, voices and sound effects quality outside the cut-scenes had been reduced due to disc space being quickly used and audio RAM constraints. Capcom added new content made specifically for this port to compensate for the late release, such as minigames, documentaries and costumes.

Loved this one! It was by far the funniest of all the RE games without losing its seriousness. next to the typical gameplay you also got some qtes which made you question whether you really needed the sip of cacao just now^^ I also liked the short statistics at the end (how often did you die and how good was your aim) Still an issue... CARRY CAPACITY

SCORE: 4.5 / 5 Story: 5/5 The story is a continuation of previous installments, six years after the events in Raccoon City from RE1 and features Leon S. Kennedy as protagonist, whom we know from RE2. It adds a new twist with a different enemy type since we fight parasites instead of zombies. After multiple games, I understand the Devs wanted to spice it up a bit. I also enjoyed the change of scenery with being in Europe! And I LOVE the humor! Visuals: 4.5/5 I played the 2005 version, but it was in HD. which I think has been added in 2014. For that time, it looked amazing I think. Audio: 4/5 The music was awesome as always. Some epic tunes during cool fights, some creepy melodies for the tense horror moments. I give only four stars because you can not adjust audio levels. The cutscenes were atrociously loud, the gameplay audio was super quiet. Really hard to find a good balance. Gameplay: 4.5/5 I played the vast majority of RE games and this is one of my favorites. I love the mix of Horror, Puzzles and Action. I also enjoy the over-the-shoulder third person camera they introduced with this title. The controls are a bit clunky, but I personally got used to it quite quickly. The new inventory system which gives more space on the character but removes the big chest in safe rooms is really nice and well balanced. My inner loot-goblin is so happy with the treasures you can collect and then sell to invest into weapon upgrades and bigger attache cases. I only give 4.5 stars because I wish we could switch between weapons more easily instead of selecting it from the inventory. Pushing a button on the D-pad to equip a hot-keyed weapon would have been awesome and made the gameplay more smooth! Also I heard the HD 60fps version makes the time window for QTEs way shorter, which was really tricky in some parts. Not sure if that's true but damn these time windows sometimes, sheesh. Enjoyment: I love this game so much, it's one of the most fun ones of this franchise in my opinion! Difficulty: I played it on Normal, which was the hardest difficulty I could select. Some situations were challenging, but once I figured out what I was supposed to do, it was okay. Audience: With all the gore, I'd suggest it's for older teenagers. Grind: There is no real need to grind, but it really pays off to go look in every corner to get as many resources as possible. Bugs: I didn't encounter any, other than some button-inputs not working properly in some moments I think. Replayability: Once you finished the game you unlock new weapons and skins that might be really fun to try out! There is also NG+, so you can start with your already unlocked weapons. The story won't change though. Which version do you prefer, RE4 2005 or RE4make?

[ Review ] Although people are talking about the new remake of Resident Evil 4, every fan of Resident Evil will tell you that the original Resident Evil 4 is the best in the series. In the era of PS2, Resident Evil 4 remarks with its unique survival-action-horror gameplay, meaning you have no time for abundant thoughts! Resident Evil 4 has a quite high tempo, and you always have to manage your ammunition well, or else you're in big trouble. The story isn't just zombie anymore, the place isn't in Racoon city anymore, but you, always remember to survive in Resident Evil 4.
