Pikmin is a whole new breed of gameplay from Nintendo. The quirky, life-under-the-microscope title delivers a unique experience like few before it with a blend of real-time strategy, adventure, and puzzle elements. Taking advantage of the GameCube's graphics power, Pikmin sports lush texture work that brings to life a microscopic fantasy world. Players control Captain Olimar, a lovable little astronaut, who crash landed on a planet inhabited by even more lovable little plant creatures known as Pikmin. Olimar can command these creatures RTS-style, assign them tasks, make them attack foes, and gather resources. The ultimate task is to rebuild Olimar's space ship before a 30-day time window elapses.

Jeux fait à 100% j'avais découvert la licence avec lui le jeux est super bien on s'y prend vite et le 100% donne envie quand on fait le jeux on veut forcément le faire à 100% étant donné qu'il est très accessible et qu'on doit juste complété le vaisseau à 100%

Pros: Inventive gameplay and a unique take on the RTS genre. I've always loved Pikmin ever since seeing it at a Blockbuster as a kid and renting it for 3-days. There's something mysterious and charming about the world and the game. It balances the line of being creepy and cute all at the same time. Future entries definitely polish the game though as Pikmin 1 has some issues that keep it from being 5 stars. Cons: Pikmin suffer many issues that are later cleaned up with Pikmin 2, 3, and 4. Tripping, Poor Pathfinding, and Sluggish Animations are a major pitfall for Pikmin 1. With later entries the Yellow Pikmin Bomb carrying is tweaked and fixed slightly but if you're going original GCN port pikmin w/ bombs will be an absolute burden.

A game from my childhood that I never got to finish until now! I was initally worried about the time limit as I was always slightly behind schedule with the amount of collected parts in comparison to the days left. I was on a ratio of one part per day but ended the game on day 28. The game is adorable and cute, difficult and requires planning and time management. The level design and layout was also clever and required micromanaging which Pikmin you need to bring with you. It was just challenging enough to be challenging enough for it to be a fun experience without being too stressful. Ended up getting the good ending, which I was happy about. Not much else to say other than that it was fun!

Pikmin is a BIG nostalgia for me. It's such an underrated game primarily because the premise and characters look weird as shit from the outside looking in. It's honestly the best "Console RTS" ever conceived. Usually RTS controls suck on consoles, but the way Pikmin is designed, it makes it work perfectly. This review goes out to all the brave soldiers we lost in the battlefield repairing my ship. Your sacrifice will not be forgotten 😰

Amazing RTS that was challenging towards the end game. Blew through like 200+ pikmin but 100% completion so I'm happy with that.
