Hilarious gameplay and a really fun co-op option for friends. I didn't realize creating a custom game mode would allow other players online to join randomly, but that made for some really fun competition. Definitely a big laugh and lots of fun, but the game can get a little repetitive- despite there being multiple game modes and maps.

The main gameplay does a good job of balancing mechanics with chaos. You can run at, climb to, punch, drop kick, grab, and throw your enemies with little trouble. The moveset is consistent enough and feels controllable enough that the little bit of uncertainty regarding execution and moves sometimes not connecting feeds into the chaotic combat. A bunch of different throwable and wieldable items allow for extra attack strength and pizzazz, and stamina drain and increased big hit recovery time help give a reasonable disadvantage to people who are performing poorly in combat. You can get knocked out from pure combat (especially against a skilled shovel user), but the escalation of stage hazards are a very fun mechanic to constrict the area of play or heighten the chance of death from getting knocked down at a poor time. Making the situation more tense or every hit matter a lot more while forcing combatants in tricky or close range scenarios is a winning formula as the number of remaining players decrease. When you're dead, you get slowly recharging credits to spend on throwing interfering items from the sky to mess with the existing players, keeping you engaged and hyped even when you already lost. Having the option to play the main mode in solo and team helps with the variety and longevity, but is easy enough. However, this game goes a step further with alternative modes, such as the smash mode which lets you pick different accumulative abilities with a fixed game length but increasing round points to keep most people a win away. And then there are great side modes; chill board games and go karting are a nice change of pace and make the game feel as a hub depending on what mood you're in between main rounds. The customization is a nice addition; having some sort of progress and rewards between all of the modes, and I have a lot of fun with unlocking and using different animals and different costumes. Crossplay is also a nice addition; cross-progression/cross-save would be nice but I migrated platforms with little issue. Overall, this is a better Gang Beasts in every possible way, an actual complete and well formed video game.

Es un juego divertido solo para jugar con amigos. Las mecánicas no son muy buenas pero fue diseñado con la intención de crear momentos graciosos entre las mecánicas y las físicas del juego. Pero un punto que tiene a favor es que siempre le añaden nuevos modos, cosméticos y demás. No soy muy fan de su look y son de esos juegos que los juego para compartir con amigos pero como que no viene de mí jugarlo por cuenta propia jaja. Sin embargo, es un juego que con el grupo indicado de amigos se puede disfrutar a 1000. Fred Review: 6.5/10
