🏎️ Fazit zu Need for Speed: Underground 2 🏎️

Am 22.11.2025 haben wir dieses legendäre Rennspiel abgeschlossen – und es war wirklich ein langes, spannendes Abenteuer! 🔥

Wir sind so viele Autos gefahren – vom süßen kleinen Opel Corsa bis hin zu unserem selbst designten Nissan Skyline. Jede Fahrt hatte ihren eigenen Charme. Die Story und die Rennen haben mir richtig gut gefallen.

Als zweiter Teil macht Underground 2 unglaublich viel richtig:

Die Open World, die bunte Underground-Szene, die Atmosphäre bei Nacht, und vor allem die unfassbaren Tuning-Möglichkeiten – zur damaligen Zeit einfach grandios! 🌙✨

Ich kann absolut nachvollziehen, warum viele sagen, dass das einer der besten Need-for-Speed-Teile überhaupt ist.

Meine Kritikpunkte:

Die URL-Rennen bzw. die Meisterschaften waren wirklich zu eintönig. Fast immer dieselbe Strecke, kaum Abwechslung – das hätte man besser machen können.

Trotzdem: Ein fantastisches Rennspiel, das bis heute Kultstatus hat. Und ganz ehrlich – dieses Spiel hätte ein Remake sowas von verdient! Das würde sicher alle Rekorde brechen. 💥

Jetzt freue ich mich umso mehr auf Need for Speed: Most Wanted als nächstes!

O jogo é simplismente MUITO melhor que o seu antecessor, mas ao mesmo tempo ele ainda não é aos meus olhos um jogo bom. Sinceramente eu senti maus punido do que beneficiado o quanto mais eu avançava com o jogo. Seu gameplay é MUITO melhor que o seu anterior, o carro é mais tranquilo de ser comandar, a maquina mesmo com o efeito elastico esta mais justa. Como jogo de corrida ele é bom sim, mas alguns momentos o carro só vira sabão e gira, e em alguns momentos ele fica cansativo. Sua historia é uma piada, e olha que mesmo pra jogo de corrida que não se espera muito, o jogo foi ainda mais piada do que eu imaginava. Você chegou na cidade, e decidi correr, é isso. Seu Visual dos carros é LINDO, tem muito mais opções que o anterior. Opções de carro e até mesmo os carros pesados podem ser usados para corridas especificas. Suas musicas me agradaram mais que o anterior já que elas agora são mais rock que rap, e sinceramente boa parte delas combinam muito bem com o que tava acontecendo. Agora vamos falar dos problemas, o jogo TODA vez que libera um novo capitulo, o mapa ENCHE de todas as corridas antigas e umas 2 a 3 novas. Então você vai rever os mesmo cenarios tantas vezes que vai ficar entediado. As lojas ficam escondidas, você precisa andar pelo mapa e procurar, o que aos meus olhos é desnecessarios. E em alguns momentos você pra avançar na historia vai precisar aumentar as "estrelas " que seria o estilo do seu carro, o que muitas vezes vai fazer colocar no carro peças mais FEIAS para liberar novas corridas que acredite ou não, vai ter momentos que você vai ter que procurar corridas tbm escondidas no mapa. Depois de passar por tudo, quando vc termina o jogo , aqui vou deixar um spoiler. - O jogo lhe da uma tela dizendo "obrigado por jogar" e É ISSO. Sinceramente assim como o antecessor eu vejo que foi um jogo importante pra caramba para a historia dos jogos, mas pra mim ele ficou datado e não envelheceu bem. Temos hoje melhores opções de jogos de corrida e eu sinto que joguei 32h fora. É real um jogo que eu não recomendo, nem para fãs de jogos de corrida, mas se insistir MUITO em jogar, pega a versão de PC que funciona melhor.

I played this alot when I was a kid and I gotta admit I was kinda blinded by nostalgia, the game isn't bad per say but its very difficult to know what to do next, I know they tell u on the msgs but sometimes there are hidden races in certain parts of the map BUT THE MAP DOESN'T SAY THE NAME OF THE PLACES... and fuck drag races!

This game nails the aesthetic, controls/design, modes, and progression. Aesthetically, I just adore the tuning culture made popular in the early 2000s. The midnight streets with ambient lighting is resonant in real life, and the sounds of the car boosting and screeching isn't unique to this game but they didn't screw it up which is great. Definitely a podcast type game, soundtrack fits great but no standouts besides the title theme.

Controls wise, part of why I like this is due to a great handling model. Turning feels good, I can usually move around cars even when boosting, drifting is generous with keeping momentum while in it and smooth exiting. Part of it is design, if I don't move around a car in time the crash feels good with slow-mo but also doesn't put me too far behind. If I do start a turn too late, most courses have walls that don't slow my momentum too much. I'm not a person who puts on the brakes, and this game doesn't force me to do so to feel good.

Modes are numerous. We have normal lap race in Circuit, tighter lap race in Street X/URL, and no lap race in Sprint. We have drifting modes which, due to the generous controls, feel great to rack up dummy points. Either competing in a circuit against opponents or against a set score in a downhill jam. Then the drag races require crisp timing for shifting gears and feel nice to master, and if you lose you only wasted 15 seconds of your life. No complaints about any of them.

Finally, the progression. It has an limited open-world type progression, where you're in one part city that all of the races take place in and they're located around the map. The size isn't too big where you'd get lost, but big enough where race locations don't feel same-y. You have certain story progression parts, including a sick final race, and even doing every race on the map only requires around 25 hours. A very manageable 100% that does not overstay its welcome given how many modes it has.

Still a fun game to play. Better when you have 90's club classics as the background music.

Played it during my Throwback Thursday Nostalgia Streams and I couldn't keep playing to finish the game, it eventually got repetitive enough where I lost interest in playing. Very Nostalgic though.
