Monster Hunter Stories is a really cute game with an adorable style. I totally loved the idea of hatching monsters and then having them become your monster besties (= Monsties). And there's also a manageable list of Monsties that you can get. The story was interesting and I just loved my character. She was super cute and thanks to the character editor, you could customize her however you wanted. The battles were actually good despite the rock-paper-scissors principle, but sometimes the enemies deviated a lot from their actual fighting technique, which could be really annoying. The bosses were challenging but doable, and hunting for Monsties was fun. However, I didn't like that some monster eggs differed only in one shade of color, and that the enemies suddenly became overly strong after the main story. That's why I didn't really continue playing after the story ended. But all in all, it was a nice role-playing game with cool monsters and cute characters.
