Mirror's Edge Catalyst is an action-adventure game and the prequel to Mirror's Edge. The story in the game explores the past of the protagonist Faith. Like in the previous game, the main gameplay in Mirror's Edge Catalyst involves traversing the city using parkour to reach certain objectives. Unlike the linear levels in Mirror's Edge, Mirror's Edge Catalyst features an open-world free-roaming environment. Combat has been overhauled and emphasized compared to the first game and Catalyst no longer allows the player to use weapons, instead focusing on melee attacks.

I remember not enjoying this one as much as the first game. It had some cool visuals and I don't recall having any issues with the gameplay.

Servers are down so 2 DISCONTINUED ACHIEVEMENTS/TROPHIES Unlike the first game, this achievement/trophy is actually possible to complete with some trial/error to learn time trials. The hardest achievement to complete is getting 3 stars on all 22 time trials. Online videos are great to practice routes shown. The rest of the list is completing the story, doing a chain of tricks, and collectibles. Personally, the first game may be very difficult and smaller compared to this remake but I enjoyed the original much more.

A game I will defiantly come back to to do more side quest now that I've beaten the main story. I loved it. It is a solid game. I enjoyed running around as Faith and doing parkour. It felt so fun to run around and be a runner and engage in this world. The graphics are stunning, and the music is beautiful. I also love how quiet this game is. Besides fighting Krugersec or doing intense side quests, the game is pretty quiet. I like the characters, especially our main lead Faith Conners. However, her voice was a bit lackluster at times. It could be the director because other times Faith has great line delivery and other times, she's so monotone. I also don't like how hardheaded she is. Like literally everything happened because of her. I also hate how empty and lackluster the story is. There's little substance. Most of the story is told through the characters talking in your ear as your running or through recordings and documents your pick up while running. That's not great story telling. It's lazy. The combat was also pretty lame. I would've liked it more if we could do special moves instead of punching and kicking.

I had a really good experience with this game although the controls were a bit hard for me especially in the beginning (that did result in some pretty funny moments though). The story was great as well as the music. The game was VERY pretty and it had a lot of fun quests also outside the main quests. I wish they would remake the first game, because I tried to play it, but had a miserable time. Although I wouldn't recommend the OG Mirror's Edge, this one was great. Would recommend!

A great game that was enough to Platinum. The first person view with the parkour really made it fun to roam around the city. The open world didn't really feel that big to me to be honest as I was also going through usual routes to get to destinations. The collectibles are bit much and you will have to replay missions to get some that are locked behind in those specific missions. The story didn't really entice me much and it was just generic. Soundtrack is amazing and really enjoyed. I played this before the servers shutdown so I was able to get that Platinum. Overall a great game and I wish EA made another Mirror's Edge.

Продовження франшизи або, як я називаю "перезапуск" - вдався. Гра з коридорного проходження карт, перетворилась на повноцінну гру з відкритим світом і сюжетом. Гра дальше розвиває тему про правління великих корпорацій і антиутопію з тотальним стеженням за людьми, мені це сподобалось, бо нагадало халф-лайф 2. З відкритим світом з'явились і різні її типові активності по типу: аванпостів, збору колекціонок, доставкою предметів (ми якщо що, граємо за кур'єрів). І мені всі ці аспекти подобаються, бо воно взаємодіє із основною механікою гри - ПАРКУР. Крім цього, з'явилась невеличка прокачка персонажа, я думав, та що тут прокачувати можна? А виявилось, що воно тут потрібне для відкриття різних трюків і спорядження. Якщо проходити тільки сюжет, то рівні трішки тяжкувато отримувати, тому варто проходити сторонні квести і активності на карті. Сподобалось: Графіка - вона тут прекрасна, все завдяки двиглу Frosbite. Світ - просто подобається бігати по дахам будинків і збирати всякі приколюхи. Фейт - вона просто красуня. Не сподобалось: Навіть не знаю, що і написати. В грі все досить не погано, тільки сюжет слабкий, але набагато крутіший за першу частину. Нажаль, офіційної української локалізації нема, як і фанатських українізаторів.

completely different feel and weird direction that I wouldn't have taken, but it grew on me fast and hard, similar issues as with first one, but once again a diamond in the rough

Second game of the franchise. It was slightly less good than the first one in my opinion because, even though the open world is interesting, I didn't get as driven playing it as the first one.

Cara jogo bom de parkour, eu acho que revolucionou pelas formas de parkour e também pelo mundo aberto, a história é generica so para falar que o jogo tem história, mas o jogo é legal em parkour então nota de imersividade 9.5 já história, eu não sei qual é a história direito mas é 6.0.

Nem cheguei no final da história, muito cansativo e desinteresante, combate chato, fácil de morrer então de tanto ver aquela tela de carregamento você fica puto, mas o parkour é muito bom

At the beginning I missed the guns but after a while I realized that I didn't need it, I just had to beat the shit out of it and do parkour in the city
