Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is a prologue to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. It offers players new sneaking and traversal methods compared to its predecessors, as well as the choice in what order the story events take place by selecting missions by advance. The most important change for this title is the shift to an open world design with a real-time day and night cycle doing away with the linear mission approach of previous games. The game was originally developed as a mission for The Phantom Pain, but an extended development time resulted in director Hideo Kojima splitting the specific portion of the game as a stand-alone product so that players could get early access to Metal Gear Solid V.

It's a great prologue to Phantom Pain - obviously a much smaller scale but there's lots of neat ways to mess around with the mission in the game. I only played the main mission this time around but it reminded me how much I love MGSV's gameplay in general - a great time!

Я не знаю, что писать, потому что игра прошлась за пару часов, т.к. это приквел к фантом пейну. Из сюжета я нихера не понял, ибо это первый метал гир, который я прошел. Ну крутой графон даже на сегодняшний день, ну пострелять тож неплохо, стелс так себе. 🦊Заказ by

This is more of a demo and not really a game, it has about a hour of gameplay and story until its done and into TPP, the story in it ties up TPP and Peace walker in a good but also bad way, in order to understand you need to listen to all the briefing tapes and what not or it doesn't make sense, the gameplay is super fun and this game has tons of stuff to replay and what not , i think personally this should have just been a part of TPP but i can see why they would make it separate to TPP, Overall i think its a 3/5 and could be way better

As an episode 0 to the Phantom Pain, Ground Zeroes works well to introduce you to the new game mechanics that Hideo Kojima cooked up. I haven't unlocked 100% of the Achievements. I have one left, which is unlocking all the timed trials. It's really wild how smooth the controls are for the last two installments to the Metal Gear saga were. Sad to see the series be put to rest, but happy that Hideo Kojima is free from Konami and able to build how he wants to with his own production studio.

A well done port, in my honest opinion. MGS team did a really great job with it. Played through the whole main mission with mouse & keyboard, it was pretty awesome. Controls were smooth and nothing awkward. I think they thought it out pretty well. Graphics Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. Fox Engine might be my new favorite. lol Even when it's set to low, it's still stunning. The way it can scale and all the stuff, amazing. Audio Fantastic. Every little detail, from rain hitting the surface to far off distant yawn. Well done. Other Stuff At the time of posting/playing this. My PC's specs are: AMD Phenom II x4 955 @ 3.2Ghz 4GB of RAM AMD/ATi 6770 After tweaking some graphic settings, it'll run very smooth. I did lock FPS at 30, I did this to prevent any unexpecting issues. So, if you're wondering if your PC can run it and you have similar specs. Here's your answer. :) There is plenty of replay too. Stuff like Side Ops and Extra Ops. Or maybe you're a trial record setter or an achievement hunter. There is still tons of stuff you can do. If the quality of this is the same for The Phantom Pain, then that will be fantastic aswell.
