[MGS3] There are very few games in the world I'd consider "perfect", but this is honestly one of them. While not my overall favourite Metal Gear Solid, it's a very close second. When I played this game for the first time back on release I really didn't like the stealth and really missed my radar from MGS1&2 - but on this playthrough I grew to appreciate that and even prefer it. It made me pay closer attention to the enemies and patterns, I got through it all non-lethal. Great boss fights, great music, great atmosphere and of course amazing story with an emotional ending (one of a handful of games that have actually made me cry) - This is a must-play for every gamer! [MGS2] great, infinitely replayable, whacky story at the end and Rose is the worst but overall one of the best games in the franchise [MGS1] It's been 25 years since the release of this game and somehow it still manages to maintain its fun factor. The story is still a great time, it's still one of the best soundtracks in gaming and it will always be timeless. The reason the visuals are ranked a little lower is because this version of the game is locked to 320x240, also seems to be even blurrier than playing the MGS1 backwards compatible on PS2. Personally though it's not too much of a drawback for me, I'm just grateful to have an easily playable version of this game on PC, and I like some of the additions like switching to disc 2 along with the cool 3d model of the game case that lets you look at the back. I also love that you can create virtual saves of other Konami games to get the Psycho Mantis dialogue you want. Overall, this game is still fantastic, and I can see myself replaying it for a third time off-stream. It's one of those games that never gets old to me.

This game was tricky to try and rate. On a gameplay side, I enjoyed this one significantly less than the first two games. It felt like even if I was actually stealthy guards were so hyper vigilant it didn't matter. That being said, the story was way more engaging and straightforward for me than the first two games. During the final chunk of the game, the escort portion felt extremely frustrating due to the Eva AI. All things considered, I'm still glad I played the game.
