Ich find es ist ein SEHR Schlecht gealtertes Soulslike, wenn man aber mit Geduld und Konzentration rein geht und viele Mengel ignoriert... ist es Spielbar und kann sogar Spaß machen

This first LOTF game was released in 2014 when the soulslike genre wasn't even a thing. There were only Demon's Souls and Dark Souls (the first) released at that point. This game tried to revolutionize some aspects, but we can clearly see the result didn't end up as expected by developers (assuming they wanted something that they couldn't achieve). But the game has its goods, it has a nice story, smooth gameplay (if you're ok with it being slow and heavy), there are a few side quests, etc. But it's a very small-scope game, with limited resources and I wasn't able to engage into the gameplay enough to finish it, unfortunately. Apart from that, the new LOTF game (2023) was about to go out. And this new one was a complete revamp of the game although it had the same title. They recreated the game, with another story, mechanics and it's a fully grown AAA title in my humble opinion. The first LOTF was like a graduation-level very good thesis work.

Полностью прошел игру + дополнение на Steam Deck. Выполнил 37 из 56 достижений. Забил на платину, т.к. для нее надо игру пройти еще минимум два раза. А так для стим дека отличная игра (ставил 40 fps, 12 TDP).

I've read negative reviews about this game, and unfortunately, I have to agree with them. First, the game is super slow and tedious during combat. Second, dodging, blocking, or parrying feels useless, Third, you can only attack shield mobs when they attack. It feels clunky and unfair. Sorry, I can't beat in a fair play. Everything seemed okay during my first 2 hours. But when I started fighting shield mobs, I realized the negative reviews were right. And these mobs are everywhere. If I leave them alone, how am I supposed to get my points? How am I supposed to upgrade my builds? Should I just face each boss without leveling up? I also don’t understand how the weight system works. There doesn’t seem to be any noticeable difference. Moreover, the game lacks a proper UI for quest or side-quest information. Several NPCs asked for favors, but there's no way to track these tasks. The only quest they provided is the main quest, displayed in the top-left corner (if you enable quest text) and the middle of the pause screen.
