Kirby's first 3-D adventure is also his Nintendo 64 debut, and it finds the always-versatile hero battling a new enemy called Dark Matter. Dark Matter is after a distant land's powerful crystal, but a young fairy named Ribbon attempts to save it by escaping with the gem to Dream Land. Now the crystal has been broken, and it's scattered around the world. Take control of Kirby and help him journey across six worlds, battling a wide variety of enemies and challenging bosses, as he tries to collect all 100 pieces of the shattered crystal.

For an N64 game this was rather fun I had some fun with this game even though the visuals were fine, the story was ok and the Soundtrack has been ok but the gameplay has been really tough to figure out and I had mixed feelings about the copy ability but this game has been fun it's a fun Kirby game to get into and if you love Kirby give this game a go.

Music is great as usual. There are some questionable powerups that hinder your movements, story is there. Cute vibes. It's worth at least one playthrough!

A fun 2.5D platformer that feels true to the classic KIrby games from the earlier generation, with a few nice new things built in. Being able to combo two powers to make something new was an interesting concept; some were great for running and gunning through a stage while others were required for tricky areas / bosses or to access the titular Crystal Shards. The controls could be a little janky at times, but even with that, there were really only a couple of spots where I died due to a misstep or just plain bad luck. Serious gamers who are Kirby fans may find this one to be a bit too easy or shallow, but while the game was designed with a more fun, casual experience and/or younger gamers in mind , it was an enjoyable enough way to spend 3-4 hours. I could definitely see this game being popular with speedrunners, and completionists will get decent replay value out of trying to get all the shards in order to unlock the "true" ending.

Super cute, a classic Kirby game from 2000. The worlds are well built and the elemental powers keep the gameplay dynamic and problem solving challenging. Great music and characters, a fun laid-back adventure.

I lvoe the ability combo system and only made we wish we could get a modernized version of it. A lot fo the concepts are fun and this was a step out for Kirby at the time, defaintly helped make future entrys as awesome as they are! Worth waiting to play it for 15 years

This was the first Kirby game I ever played as a kid, and once I got the hang of it, I loved it. :) The music is still pretty hard to forget, and I remember it taking me a while as a kid to find the hidden final boss.
