Heroes of the Storm is a multiplayer online battle arena video game by Blizzard Entertainment. The game brings together characters (known in the game as heroes) from multiple Blizzard universes, such as Warcraft and StarCraft and puts them against each other in an arena in a 5 versus 5 battle. Heroes of the Storm features multiple game modes, such as co-op (PCs vs. NPCs) and versus (PCs vs. PCs).

I remember being super hyped for Heroes of the Storm back in its open beta phase. It was a lot of fun to play back then, and remained fun up until the queue times became unbearable. Nowadays the game is not much more than a glorified model-viewer while waiting for eon-long queues.

My favourite MOBA! HotS continues to amaze me in 2024 despite the fall of the game once Blizzard let down the E-Sport. With Microsofts take over I still see hope on the horizon! In the MOBA Genre HotS can be seen as the most action focused game. More teamfigths, lower cooldowns, quicker fights and decisions, less farming mechanics and alternating maps support this foundation. Sorting the big 3 from Action to Tactics like: HotS <-> League <-> DotA

I enjoyed my time playing this with my friend, but then I stopped playing when they announced that they would stop supporting it. I believe this was back in 2017, but it looks like they still added new heroes to it after so maybe a revisit is in order. I don't much like the MOBA genre, but this was a fun time.

Probablemente con la mitad de horas de las que le he metido me habría sacado un master. Pero bueno, el moba más casual. Sería divertido si no fuese porque la poca comunidad hace que las partidas estén desbalanceadas.

Literally one of my favorite games ever! From b-stepping on people to taunting I've done it all. Am I good at the game? Hell no. Do I still play it though? Of course. The maps of this game are absolutely beautiful!!! I love that the characters have two different ultimate choices as well. The games are also (normally) short and fun! Those are probably the main three reasons I keep coming back to the game. I play mainly healers. My main man is Anduin. One of my favorite parts about Heroes of the Storm is when Blizzard continuously gave up on it. 😭
