Final Fantasy, also known as FFI in re-releases, is the first role-playing game title in Square's flagship Final Fantasy series. The game puts players in control of four characters known as the Warriors of Light, and begins by asking the player to select the classes and names of each. The Warriors of Light can traverse the maps of dungeons and towns, which are connected by a world map, and will run into random encounters with enemies or fight bosses.

First Final Fantasy of the series; had to play it on the original system with original hardware. I chose the jobs warrior, thief, red mage and white mage to go on our adventure with. Overall experience was fun, offered diversity in terms of classes to choose from at the beginning and has a bit of an open world concept. Now I will say there are still some bugs in this version that were fixed in the later ports, but things like int stats doesn't work and some spells even. Music was overall pretty good for it's time, gameplay was decent, there was a bit of grinding to do but overall not too bad. You can tell this game was modeled after dungeons and dragons concepts.. especially when it came to the spell slots. I did not like however how you had to buy each potion individually which was time consuming but not the end of the world. Story was was pretty vague until you hit the end.. then all the story just kinda comes all at once. I feel like they could have sprinkled the story bits in the game a bit more rather than putting most of it at the end like so.

This game was fun, I found it a bit boring at times though and the difficulty curve at the end was a bit whiplash inducing. Though to be fair that might've been a remaster issue. I can't imagine the original game was also like that. All in all still a nice game though, but not one I'll likely revisit.

Never let anyone tell you Red Mages are bad. They're good at everything, and if you know the game it becomes really easy to beat the game with four Red Mages. The story is simple, but ends with a thoughtful note about how time travel would actually work.

Joguei várias vezes, e, mesmo com as limitações da época e demora para resolver os conflitos, ainda é um jogo muito cozy para mim. Desafiador num nível acima da média, difícil, mas completo em conteúdo. Cruel em alguns combates, mas com exploits points o suficiente para superar as dificuldades. Custoso, mas satisfatório.

https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1027231478 Can't beat this classic! Every time i go back to this game I always enjoy it. That battle theme never gets old somehow. The only downfall of this game is the difficulty curve shortly after finding your ship requires some "clever tactics" to get around. Overall a must play.
