The gameplay is undoubtedly Evil West's strongest feature. It feels like a classic beat-'em-up shooter set in the Wild West, with the unique twist of battling vampires instead of outlaws. There's a satisfying DOOM-like influence in some of the weapons, animations, and enemy designs that gives combat a visceral, impactful feel. The variety of enemies is great, with each type serving a distinct purpose in combat scenarios. The game blends traditional Western settings with gothic, vampire-inspired elements to create a unique aesthetic. While the game follows a linear structure rather than an open world, which was actually refreshing after so many sprawling open-world titles. The game runs impressively well on high settings with DLSS enabled, rarely dipping below 60fps. The story in Evil West isn't its strongest element, but it's certainly serviceable. It provides enough context and motivation to keep pushing forward without getting in the way of the gameplay. While not particularly memorable, the story doesn't detract from the experience and maintains a decent pace throughout the adventure.The campaign offers about 10 hours of gameplay, which feels just right for this type of experience. The game also features co-op functionality, though I haven't personally tested this aspect. TL;DR: If you liked Remnant: From the Ashes but found it too punishing, or just miss the golden age of linear action games, give this one a shot...

The story and visuals of the game were alright, but the rest of the game was janky, and so many bugs in it so long after it's been out is kind of ridiculous. Instantly uninstalled it as soon as my buddy and I finished it.

Decent game with amazing soundtrack. But god is it laggy! I have a high end pc and the game would drop my fps from 120 to 15 for no reason. Terrible optimisation.
