Absolut genialer Ableger, auch wenn der gute Mick Gordon die Musik nicht mehr gemacht hat aber hey, ist dennoch phänomenal und echt was neues, was das Gameplay angeht mit dem Schild und allem!

I started this one being skeptical about the tempo and gameplay, but I was really wrong! The game is different, but it gives you a new experience which is still very dynamic, but also more structured now. You are no longer running in circles like crazy and switching weapons for enemies, now it is more like a rhythm game - you parry green stuff and almost one-shot every enemy if you do things right. It also feels that the Slayer is much stronger - I mean fights against 30-40 death knights in a tiny corridor - ez pz, you just smack them and it is satisfying!
I usually start my scores from 10/10, but because of one particular thing (green locations) I start this one at 11/10. I don't want to do spoilers, but this was a great surprise which left me jaw-dropped!
There are only 2 flaws in this game. First is music which is very generic - it is good, but something is missing, it is heavy but very background. I'm not a big musician, but I listened to heavy music all my life and this was good, but grocery-store generic - non-memorable and just exists to not stay in silence. And the second flaw is optimization. Holy heck it is a dumpster. I have a pretty solid system which can run this game, but I have no idea how people play it on systems from 2-3 years ago. The funny thing is that I even found a video that it doesn't run natively at 60 fps - it is a 30 fps game and everything else is frame generation which is... well, the AI era hit us hard I guess. I usually don't blame performance, but for such a project it is a big minus 2, so overall it will be 8/10 for me.

What is there to say? It's DOOM, it's fuckin' awesome. It's more of the same, yet still different enough. I really enjoyed the shield/parry system a LOT more than I originally thought I would when the game introduced it to me, it added a LOT of depth to the gameplay.
The graphics are insane, performance is incredible, the art, enemy, level, world & demon design are all amazing as always. Music is great (though not as peak as Mick Gordon). Gameplay is fast paced and fun, I really enjoyed this from start to finish. The story is neither here nor there, but who cares, we're slaying demons!

The third game after the series relaunch in 2016.
The gameplay is less complex than in Doom Eternal. You don't switch weapons as often and rely much more on the shield. Some enemies can't be defeated without parrying, so learning how to use the shield and timing green-colored attacks is mandatory. Not all weapons feel useful - for example, the Skullcrusher is effective only against weak enemies, which are often easier to kill just by throwing the shield.
Story-wise, it's a prequel to DOOM (2016), depicting the war between the Sentinels and demons, with the Doom Slayer as their ultimate weapon. The story isn't very complex, but it's logical and good enough for the series.
The graphics are highly advanced and look great, while performance is excellent. Level design is strong, as usual. The soundtrack leans more toward metal, but it's not as memorable as in the previous games.
Overall, it's a pretty solid DOOM entry - different from its predecessors, but with some interesting new ideas.

От разрабов нужно было только одно - сделать жестко, брутально и задорно! Как по мне - всё получилось! Играть весело и интересно, в меру сложно. Бои доставляют, короче завоз нормальный

Дум как всегда хорош, музыка конечно не Мика Гордона, но всё еще хорошулевая.
Отлично расслабляется, но прям фулл не дошла еще.
