Story

The exploration is not entirely linear, and the difficulty was closer to the first game. New mechanics continue to keep things interesting, but the whole feeling and presentation of everything is like a Saturday morning cartoon. The enemies look silly, and Kiddy Kong is really dumb. I had a lot more fun with this than the second game.

Criminally Slept-On and Still Funky as Ever Let’s get this out of the way: Donkey Kong Country 3 does not deserve the shade it gets. Is it different from the first two entries? Yes. Is that a bad thing? Not even close. DKC3 takes everything Rare learned from the first two games and polishes it into a slick, weird, wonderful platformer that somehow feels both cozy and inventive. The level design is tight, the pacing is smart, and the game’s mechanics — including Dixie’s hair-glide and Kiddy’s roll — open up new platforming possibilities that are genuinely fun once you stop comparing them to Diddy’s cartwheel. Visually, it pushes the SNES to its limits with gorgeous environments and a unique autumnal, almost Canadian-wilderness vibe that sets it apart. From misty mountains to flooded factories, the game has a real sense of atmosphere. It doesn’t need to look like the jungle again — it evolves the world. As for the soundtrack? Sure, it’s more ambient than DKC2’s bombastic bangers, but it still slaps. “Water World,” “Treetop Tumble,” and “Stilt Village” are some of the most haunting, beautiful pieces on the SNES. It’s moody, mature, and a little melancholy — kind of like the game itself. So why the hate? Mostly nostalgia goggles. People didn’t get Kiddy Kong, they missed the Kremlings, or they were just burnt out. But honestly, that’s not the game’s fault. It tried something different, and it succeeded. It’s not just "the one with the baby." It’s a full, confident sequel with its own identity — and if you give it a fair shot, it holds up just as well (and sometimes better) than its more beloved siblings. Rating: 4.5 out of 5 Banana Birds It’s not just a solid platformer — it’s a misunderstood gem. Give Dixie the credit she deserves.

o que eu menos joguei dos três por ter mais necessidade de ler textos pra passar numas partezinhas ou pra fazer algumas coisas a mais no jogo, mas é bem legal

Even though this was the DKC I was the least familiar with, it didn't take me as long to complete as DKC 2. There were some tricky spots, but I would say the only one that needed my full concentration was Kong-Fused Cliffs. The limited space between the top of the screen and the rope fuse combined with the enemies to dodge made it a lot harder than it needed to be. But thankfully, I only ever died there once in my actual attempts (had to practice offscreen plenty of times)

DK 3, que eu carinhosamente apelidei de Monkey BABY xD. Outro game maravilhoso e mesmo sem muitas mudanças, atualizações e novidades, é bastante satisfatorio. Falando de seu Visual, não possui la muitas mudanças comparado com os anteriores também, mas admito que suas fases e seu mundo aberto é bastante bonito. Sua Story é basicamente , todo mundo saiu de ferias e acabou que foram capturados pelo o Pirata Jacaré mais uma vez, e agora sobra para a namorada de diddy, Dixie e o BABY kong xD salvar eles. Nada demais mas como falei em outros games, faz o seu papel de justificar a aventura. Gameplay é mais do mesmo dos plataforma e até mesmo dos outros DKs, agoooooora preciso dizer que o lance de vc pilotar os barcos enquanto investiga o mapa é bastante legal. Soundtrack eu nem sei porque falo ainda, pois é sempre magnifica des do primeiro, existe até um video de estudo musical sobre a genialidade das musicas do DK de tão boas que são. Finalizaaaaaando, DK 3 é um bom jogo e recomendo para completar a trilogia dos DKs do SNES. Sobre a dificuldade, ele tem quase a mesma do segundo jogo. Desafiador mas bastante justo. Recomendo

Another top tier jump and run platformer. Personally, I feel it falls 0,1 percent behind DKC and DKC II, but that still makes it absolute top-tier!
