Diddy Kong Racing is set on Timber's Island and revolves around Diddy Kong and his friends' attempt to defeat the intergalactic antagonist, a wizarding pig named Wizpig, through winning a series of races. The player can take control of any of the featured characters throughout the game. Diddy Kong Racing features five worlds with four racetracks each, and the ability to drive a car, hovercraft, or pilot an aeroplane.

Diddy Kong Racing 64 is a racing game featuring Diddy Kong and nine other drivers. It has a lot of stages with some special stages having other game modes besides racing. It was a really fun game to play with family and friends and I played it a lot in my youth on the Nintendo 64. It was always exciting to pick between the different cars, because they all had their own special routes in the maps and it give me a lot of nostalgia thinking about the game. It also has a solo mode, which I never played, but if I come back to the game the future I would love to play through it.

Finally beaten this game since I was a kid! Very enjoyable, the soundtrack is probably the best part of this game! I say it still holds up well today.

Playing this was a blast and seeing that so many Rare characters got their start here was cool. If I had learned some of the advanced tech earlier, the brutal difficulty may have been more manageable. It's better than Mario Kart.

Awesome game and had a lot more fun with this game than Mario Kart. I enjoyed the difference and the boss fights were just interesting to race against.
