A 2-piece bundle of the early Devil May Cry games. In the first, we can feel its Resident Evil roots in its grounded gameplay, atmosphere, and the classic fixed camera angles. Despite that, the combat in DMC 1 can be quite enjoyable.
DMC 3 does what a sequel should ideally do, building off of and improving from the first game, the controls are more fluid and allow players to experience the series' signature spectacle fighter style of gameplay. Although it is quite difficult at times.
This collection has been rather unique in it's own way first DMC has a great story but has very Janky sections and also good visual designs, DMC 2 is a Mess overall and DMC 3 is the big highlight with really cool level designs, unique bosses, very cool characters and a really great story so besides 2 this collection has been rather interesting I kinda would recommend it.

Outdated gamedesing, no any comfort, and not bad fight system. For now game near unplayble

DMC is one of the best series out there for action game lovers. Even these older ones. Cant recommend enough
The entire collection honestly looks like it wasn't properly remastered as the texture upgrades are inconsistent throughout all three games. There are also cutscenes in all three games that are clearly pre-rendered and as a result look incrediblty grainy and or pixelated due to the resolution upscaling. In-game cutscenes look much better as a result. Audio quality also seems to take a dip in these pre-rendered scenes. All three games also have a very minimalistic story and give just enough to give the player a narrative incentive to keep playing (except DMC 2 lol). Also, I know that these are character action games that incentivize building up the combo meter and trying new things, but I really did not feel any need to do much else beyond the basic combos you get at the beginning. I got by just fine using the basic attacks and the rare use of an item whenever necessary. All games were played on the normal difficulty which I assume is the intended one. Also, Dante is awesome in all three games and I love his design in each one.
Moving to thoughts on the individual games.
DEVIL MAY CRY (4 out of 5):
This game made a very good first impression and to be honest I think it might actually be my favorite out of the collection in terms of overall vibe and atmosphere. I initially had trouble and ended up using all of my gold revival orbs due to attempting to playing as if it were an action game because I had heard these games were very action-oriented. Funny enough the game got better and easier when I started playing it slower and more methodical like a Resident Evil game (and yes I know this game originally started out as one). The level design is great and even with the backtracking I had a great time due to just the quality of the environment. Not much in the story and I was aware of the "soul filled with light" meme long before I ever bought this. This was basically an action oriented Resident Evil game and I had a good time with it. Environment and gameplay are what standout the most to me here.
DEVIL MAY CRY 2 (2 out of 5):
People were not joking when they said the guns can just do everything for you in this game. First thing I noticed though was that Dante's design in this game is fucking awesome, and there are actually quite a few gameplay additions in here that were really cool but unfortunately are not well utilized due to the overal quality of the game. Wall running and proper dodging looked and felt good but served no real gameplay purpose. Aside from that this game is very easy and I don't remember dying a single time in either playthrough (Dante and Lucia). The story is also barely there and I don't even remember what the bad guy's motivations were. Lucia's campaign was actually more fun than Dante's and thankfully shorter as well. It also contained some extra cutscenes that flesh her story and character out a bit more, and it also provides a better bookend to the story in the game with her epilogue scene. I think overall the game's visuals (as in texture quality) is the best and transitioned to HD better than the other two games. The overall gameplay experience however is pretty boring. It's the perfect game to have in the background. I played it while watching Youtube and videos, but I can tell if I had focused solely on the game I would have been very bored.
DEVIL MAY CRY 3 SPECIAL EDITION (4 out of 5):
This has the most content in it out of all three games and is overall the best in terms of gameplay and story, but level design and atmosphere is worse in comparison to the first game. I think I just prefer what the first game was going for. For example, I prefer Dino Crisis 1 over Dino Crisis 2, and the first Silent Hill game is my favorite of the entire series, but that's me going on a tangent. I feel like this game would have benefited from better story telling. I'm aware of Vergil and everything that happens in Devil May Cry 5, but to be honest going into this I was expecting a lot more substance and story considering the attachment fans of this series seem to have to this game in particular. It's good but not great. There are also some really ugly textures in this game that I don't feel like I saw in the other two games. At the very least I noticed it more here. I think this is a game that I may grow more fond of over time post-playthrough. I didn't play as any of the extra characters as I didn't feel any incentive to do so. The only reason I played Lucia's story in DMC was because it had unique story in her campaign even though I didn't want to play through the game again. By comparison there was nothing in this game that made me want to play as Lady or Vergil, though I hear the latter is really fun. I will admit it's the best in the trilogy, but it's not my personal favorite.
