Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition features improved visuals and gameplay at up to 120 frames per second. Alongside all previously-released downloadable content, other additions include Vergil as a playable character, ray tracing graphics options, and two additional game modes: Legendary Dark Knight mode, which significantly increases the number of enemies in each level, and Turbo mode, which increases the game speed by 20%.

Undoubtedly the best game in the series. After playing through all 5 games now I can say that my general opinion of the gameplay in this series still remains the same. I still don't care for buildings points and increasing the ranking through combos. It's cool for a little bit but the motivation wears off very quickly for me. That being said, this has the best gameplay of the series and all three main characters are fun to play. Nero's exceed mechanic is better this time around and easier to pull off, V is fun if you like to micromanage and puppet others to attack for you, and Dante is great as always with his styles and weapons. I did miss Dante's circle/special combo the previous games though since his moveset gets modified a couple times throughout the game. The graphics are incredible and so is the music. I have nothing negative to say about any of that. Story is the best in the entire series and wraps up the series history for the most part though it does leave room for more. I will still say though that as cool as these characters are, I still don't feel much for them. Spoilers: Nero lamenting how he couldn't save Credo made me feel nothing. Credo was barely present in DMC 4 and when he died he had basically no development other than "you used my sister so now I'll betray the people I've been working for my whole life". Vergil coming back is cool but I don't feel much beyond just that. He's a cool powerhouse and he wants power. What little insight I got into his personal feelings actually came from V's confession of what he truly wanted. Kyries is even less of a character and doesn't even show up lmao. She gets a few spoken lines and that's it. The only one who got any real emotion out of me, and who is arguably the star of the show, is Nero in his final scenes before facing Vergil. And lastly, I love Nico lmao. She's dumb and fun and I love how she just magically appears with her van when you call her. Lady and Trish were nice to see againi but that's all there is to say about them. I attemped to play through Vergil's bit and while he is incredibly strong and makes the game a breeze, I still didn't feel any urge beyond to continue playing as him beyond the first 5 chapters. Just like DMC 4 SE he only has cutscenese in the beginning and ending and, while they are more significant than the ones in the previous game, I still felt playing through the entire game again was not worth it just to see them. Watched them on Youtube instead. Glad I got through this series. It was interesting to see how it evolved since the first game. I see why people like these games, but they're nothing special to me imo. Maybe my mind will change over time in retrospection. I'll still give the game a score it deserves though even if it wasn't meant for me.

No Commentary Let's play for Slavi398bgExtra What is there left to say about Devil May Cry 5. One of the best action games out there and pretty much revived an old IP that nearly died with DmC:Devil May Cry back in 2013 because of Capcom's pursuit of larger market and sales due to Call of Duty. Thank you Hideaki Itsuno for giving this franchise another GO and made the best game period.

It's a good game, I just find Nemo's kinda underpowered and lacking, compared to Dante or even V.
