As of writing this I just finshed this game 5 minutes ago. DLC included. This was such a great way to end the Desperados series. The gameplay is exactly what I'd expect and it really made me feel like I was playing the culmination of everything they tried to implement since the first Desperados. The characters are all likeable in this one, even ones that don't get as much screen time as the others. Hector in particular is great, and that DLC ending put a smile on my face. He's essentially what they were trying to do with Yuki from Blades of the Shogun except they actually pulled it off this time. The levels were just challenging enough that they weren't infuriating. This also means the game is less difficult compared to Blades of the Shogun, which was a negative to me at first. The design in this game is much more straightforward. While I think Blades of the Shogun is the better and more challenging game, there's just something about the Western setting and going guns blazing that really appeals to me. The "puzzle" in the final level of the main game was the best part of it all and the DLC was a satisfying epilogue that just neatly wrapped things up in a bow.

First time playing an RTS game and thoroughly enjoyed this one. It was recommended by a friend and I like how beginner friendly it is to first time players for such a genre. The story is your usual vengeance plot and it was nice to learn about the characters you meet along the way. I really like how challenging the game was for me that I have to plan accordingly with stealth and strategy. Though sometimes I forget that I can use guns to deal with the enemies quickly. Also I like the variety of skills each character has which makes it fun. At the beginning the stages were easy and fast to complete but as I progress with the story, it takes longer and more planning which I don't mind because it's been super fun for me who likes strategy games. Though I had to take some breaks from the long ones because gotta reset the brain haha. Highly recommend for people who likes strategy games
