Easy perfect score for this addictive, well made and extremely stable game. This game's playthrough was completed by yours truly in 245 hours of casual gameplay - I am sure it may be done faster with help from online sources. But why rush when one can enjoy the beautiful world of Coral Island? This game has content wherever one turns. And seems to be still under active development! Tried the multiplayer very shortly off-stream and it works very well. cuteness is everywhere, but also challenges, obstacles, tasks and missions to be taken care of. Did not have one boring minute in this game in 240+ hours! Well done, Stairway Games! Definitely one of the best games I have played this year. Full Steam review: Imagine a world, where you can farm, meet nice characters, go on adventures, mine and clean an ocean. Imagine a world, where you will have to catch numerous insects, ocean critters and find many gems and artifacts to rebuild a museum's collection. Imagine all that, while hanging out with nice NPCs, hear their stories, see what they struggle with. And all that while gathering resources, selling items to make good money and also meet some Merfolk and Giants. Welcome to Coral Island, where you can have all of these at once. Made by an amazing team of devs from Southeast Asia, the local references to that area can not be overlooked (up to my favourite noodle brand in the world!). The game is very stable, in 240+hrs it crashed only once. And it is still under active development as of 2025 it seems, when they added multiplayer possibility to it. The game is very addictive and made it easily to my top10-list of games I have ever played. There are many ways to play this game and it offers a good amount of help to fulfil the requirements needed to completing the story. A VERY strong recommendation for this one! Runs perfectly on Win11 as of 2025. One of the main messages of this game is clear though and makes sense if one thinks about the origin of the devs: Keep the oceans clean! AFter playing this game, you probably try much harder to do just that.

Coral Island is a wonderfully deceptive game — it hides so well as a cozy farming adventure, but let me tell you, it’s stressful beyond belief at times. The storyline is engaging, the graphics are gorgeous, and the sheer number of townies to interact with makes the island feel alive. Even in the late game, there’s still plenty to do, which makes it easy to sink hours into without getting bored. It took me 207 hours to complete the game to a perfect game on Steam, and I enjoyed almost every bit of that journey. That said, there’s one thing I didn’t enjoy: the hidden fish, sea critters, and bugs. Having to look them up on Google for achievement completion felt a bit frustrating — especially since I bought and upgraded the farm computer, only to find out it doesn’t help with that. A small gripe, but still worth mentioning. Despite that, Coral Island has incredible replay value. I can totally see myself starting fresh multiple times and discovering new things each run. Oh, and for the record: Scott is absolutely my favorite character. Marrying Lilly, though? Let’s just say… that was a mistake I won’t be repeating. 😅 Overall, Coral Island is a brilliant mix of cozy vibes and hidden intensity, with endless activities and interactions to keep you hooked. Highly recommended!

Honestly: a pretty soid entry into the farming life sim game genre. My biggest complaint is that the game was released incomplete, and despite having a lot of content now: it's still not done.
