Start a crime syndicate from nothing, and grow it into a well-oiled money machine in City of Gangsters, a mafia management simulation game. Build speakeasies and illegal distilleries. Manage production chains and resource distribution. Smuggle goods from out of town and bribe the police to look the other way. Grow a powerful crew and keep your rivals under your thumb. Eliminate competition and rule the city. But most importantly, keep the money flowing.

A complex enough strategy game for many many hours of gameplay. The game has a high replay value and is fun, if you enjoy working with numbers, if yoou are analytical and want a game with a great setting and "official" end-date during the american prohibition period. It is different from e.g. the Mafia-series, since it is not an FPS-game, but if you do not have the latest gaming PC, it should run pretty well. High replay value, since there are so many ways to play it and to reach one's goals. An encyclopedia is included to find out what certain goods mean. One star off for "freezing" twice and therefore losing a few hours of gameplay. Full Steam review: Wanted to play this game for quite some time already. It is a nice turn-based simulation with a ton of different things to do. Some of the elements were not even discovered/used in my first playthrough. This is definitely NOT meant for some cosy stress-free gameplay, instead a player has to focus most of the time and be very careful when selecting things to do. Intuitively it seems I did something right though - survived the first playthrough with my whole team. Additional challenge is added by the "official" fixed end-date, which is the end of the prohibition. Yes, the game stays playable, but as the game states, it is "just for fun" after that. A great game for someone, who wants a complex enough resource management game with plenty of different ways to achieve the end. High replay value. But attention: do manual SAVES frequently! The game became unplayable twice on WIndows 11 23H2 and i lost a few hours of gameplay through that!
