Chronos: Before the Ashes is an atmospheric RPG that chronicles a hero's lifelong quest to save their homeland from a great evil. Grow wiser, stronger and more powerful as you explore the depths of the mysterious labyrinth. But beware, the labyrinth takes a heavy toll - each time your hero dies, they lose a year of their life! Every time the player dies they age one year. Player’s must adapt to their advancing age as they progress their character; starting the game young, nimble and quick, and ending wise and more attuned to magic.

I loved this game despite it being rough around the edges in terms of mechanics. The mechanics itself show its age and are even more apparent given how I have played so much of the later games of the series, Remnant and Remnant 2. The soundtrack matched that of the later games with great music but sadly it doesn't play as often as I would like to otherwise it is rather silent with only the game SFX. The story is amazing as I expected showing up mainly in notebooks and letters you can find around the maps with amazing nuggets of lore. All in all I had a blast playing this game since I am such a huge fan of the Remnant games it filled me with nostalgia despite it being my first time playing it. Seeing the enemies and bosses and using the mechanics made me so happy to see all in all if you like those games are just like souls games this one is worth a play

Дропнула из-за бага (не сработал скрипт, и не было возможности загрузиться, что вынуждало начинать игру с самого начала) + душный соулслайк с оружием ближнего боя на уж ОЧЕНЬ большого любителя

Um RPG de Ação e Aventura com características Rogue-Like não muito punitivas e um pouquinho de Souls-Like. O jogo é sensacional, onde a sensação que vocês têm ao olhar para a capa do jogo e a ouvir a trilha sonora é realmente a sensação que o jogo vos passa enquanto estão a jogar. O jogo está muito bem construído com os movimentos da personagem, dos monstros e dos Bosses muito bem feitos durante as batalhas, aliados a uma história bem rica mas que não termina neste jogo. A história do jogo Remnant: From The Ashes é logo depois desta. Este jogo é prato cheio para quem quer jogar um excelente RPG de Ação e Aventura.

Para quem jogou o Remnant: From the Ashes é muito interessante os elementos que esse game faz referência, a jogabilidade é bem diferente do Remnant, bem mais "simples" e a dificuldade também está mais moderada o game é bem mais tranquilo e tem uma progressão boa. (Tirando o bug viajado no final, mas isso a gente deixa pra lá, ou não. haha' na real, foi triste.)

Giving this 4 stars because it was too SHORT. I was left wanting more of this fantastic precursor to Remnant: From the Ashes. The world they built and some interesting mechanics definitely made me want to stick around in this title. It's a little clunky but the clunk gives it a little fun personality. Pro-tip, GO HAMMER and BONK the evil away!
