The follow on from BioShock did not disappoint. The levels were still beautiful, the characters interesting. A couple jaw dropping moments and choices here and there.
My only criticism is the Harvesting ADAM mechanic you have to do... there are a few more hoops you have to go through ( I dont want to spoil so no specifics) and this got a little tedious after a while. It's not as simple as killing a big daddy and either harvesting or rescuing 😥
Im keepin it real, the story was kinda meh, BUT THE DRILL, was fun af, very good, still copyright heavy sadly, but the gameplay was great, dont regret playing it.
I grabbed the remastered after playing them originally, I want to go back eventually to playthrough them at some point but it's just backlog and new games it's hard to keep up with it all plus after playing them before it feels nearly irrelevant now, this collection is very good though for it's sale prices and when it was released, easily one of the best gaming franchises in terms of first person story/shooter type of games, they have a strange storyline which can keep you interested in what happens next and random parts where your fighting strong enemies all of a sudden as you progress the storylines which makes it somewhat unpredictable without using any guides. Pretty sure the multiplayers, is dead now though which again affects it's scores if your looking for that sort of thing. (August 2025)
havent finished it but so far its enjoyable

Genuinely enjoyed the game. A lot of quality of life updates from the original game, it does reuse a lot of the same assets from the first game but I enjoyed playing from the big daddy perspective and it added a unique touch to the game. Overall worth a playthrough!
Great story again. Protect little sis were awful sections that seem like filler
Not as strong as the first Bioshock. The gameplay loop is similar yet different since you are playing as a Big Daddy. The story is okay, it's difficult compared to the first one. The DLCs are great and highly recommend.
