прикольная игруха. помню как удивился тому, что можно написать своему персонажу биографию и ебанул ему графоманский ориджин. касательно геймплея — я играл за консервную банку, которая просто шла вперёд и пиздила всё, что видит, а маги там, лучники вроде как-то сами справлялись, подчиняясь неведомому мне механизму. видел, как типы её проходят в соло магом на последнем уровне сложности, но мне так впадлу было разбираться, чё там у магов, как там, чё за спеллы есть и т. д., я просто хотел небольшой отряд, который "носом" (т. е. мной) утыкался в пачку противников и потихоньку его сбривал, пока остальная часть этот "нос" подбадривала. как будто реально в сказочку попал со всем этим визуалом, саундтреком, сюжетом, вообще сеттингом и т. д. мне понравилось. токмо рандом иногда шалил, но это ДнД хуле

Have you ever wanted to play a D&D campaign, but you don't have any friends? Well, boy do I have a game for you! Baldur's Gate is one of the best RPGS from the era. Lovely environmental and sound design. The characters can use some work, and sometimes the dialogue turns into massive text dumps, but this game has soul and purpose. I did play the Enhanced Edition which added one or two decent quality of life changes. This version also introduces some new characters which aren't written like anything else in the base game, and stick out like a sore fucking thumb. If you ever want to get into this genre of game. THIS IS THE STARTING POINT.

I have loved DnD ever since the early 2000s, which is most of my life. I never knew this game existed in this form, and only got it because of the fact I adore Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 1 + 2. I didn't realize it was like this, and boy was I glued to this game from start to finish. I literally had dreams about this game and the DLC Siege of Dragonspear. The main game and SoD are fantastic, though The Black Pits is a little boring to me personally. It's nice that it's a side story and not intended to be played as your Main Character, but I usually get bored of arena style games after a while, which I did. I'll eventually finish Black Pits, but I've already started BG2:EE to continue the story.

Played it back then, still return from time to time. Cannot believe it is still getting content sometimes. Weird but also amazing. Other than that you get an amazing story with really good soundscape. I admit the controls aged, but not too bad. Really challenging sometimes!

S | A phenomenal game deserving of all of its accolades and achievements. The enhanced edition brings this game to modern systems and adds new classes and characters and areas, all of which are just more to love. Nothing to say except if you are a fan of isometric RPGS (or even RPGs in general) this is a must-play.
