The one and only time I did the mortgage grind for Animal Crossing. Grinding is fun until you stop having a compelling reason to grind. Never got into the home designing aspect, but my efforts allowed my sister to get funds to help design, and it became a communal gaming activity. Also using the Wii Speak to chat with friends on their islands was much more intuitive to me than clogging up the home line.

I wasn't sure if I wanted to list this, New Leaf or New Horizons here. I decided on City Folk for the pure nostalgia this game gives me. I've been playing since the GCN original (hue hue but what about Dobutsu no Mori? ...shut up) and this is EASILY the most middling of the games. It's essentially just Wild World with better graphics, online connectivity and a new City Plaza. It's that middle addition, however, that made me choose this game. I made a ton of relationships through this game and spent an obscene amount of time just hanging out in the towns of my friends, just chatting the nights away. It was the first game I became pretty heavily involved in modding, as well. It may not be the most innovative AC game, but it holds a special place in my heart.

Played this a lot with my little sister and cousins. We were hooked to this game and even started our own clothing line. Cute, eh?
