GOOD THINGS - Combat (parries, combos, visuals—everything feels great) - Excellent soundtrack - Enemy attack patterns are very well designed and readable - Visually appealing - Bosses have names and feel important - Being able to refight bosses makes sense, and it’s satisfying to come back stronger - All bosses are great, with maybe one or two exceptions - Alternate boss versions are really well done - Large/giant bosses are impressive and well executed - Repeated attempts against a boss are rewarded with more levels and abilities BAD THINGS - Some bosses are damage sponges, at least on normal difficulty - Had to grind levels just to meet the minimum requirements - Many optional side quests feel almost mandatory if you don’t want to fall behind in level - Frequent camera issues in tight spaces or when stuck against a wall during boss fights - Noticeable performance issues in certain areas or with specific bosses (should be an easy fix) - Story is pretty generic and, in my opinion, poorly told (very gameplay-focused, with shallow characters) - The inability to switch from easy to normal difficulty is pretty bad, especially considering achievements are locked on easy FINAL SCORE: 7.5
