This marked a turning point in gaming history. I still remember specifically buying a PS3 to try this game out and being absolutely BLOWN AWAY by the game mechanics and visuals. It was years ahead any of the competition in the way the game performed and unlike anything I had ever experienced gaming wise. And then you go into the story... wow. Easily one of the most engaging and heartfelt stories that gaming has ever given us as a community. Not just another zombie infection game, it is so much more. Have recommended this game religiously ever since I picked it up for the first time, that will never change. 10/10 anyone who says otherwise is wrong ;)

A well loved game by many and for a very good reason. The games story just hooks you in from the get go and gives you the hero feel throughout. You can actively see your character getting better as you progress more and more and for me that is something that has been lost in a lot of more recent games. Upgrading my armour and weapons has such a rewarding feel to it and every new item acquired giving it a fresh look is something that stops this game from going stale. The combat is just out of this world making you truly feel like the badass you are, whether you're taking on an 8ft werewolf to some mouthy prick in a tavern, it all feels so fluid and brilliant. Not only do they nail the main story and the mechanics but there is a game within this game called GWENT which is an incredibly engaging card game. I am not a fan of card games but this had me hooked looking for quests where I could upgrade my deck, genuinely outstanding. This game does an incredible job of making you become the hero of the story from slaying horrifying creatures to sleeping with every beautiful woman you come across this game is a genuine 10/10. And surprisingly the DLC is just as brilliant adding a vineyard you can purchase with your own home and places to display your armor sets, incredible. Just make sure you have a lot of time to play it because it is long (that's what she said).
