way too big fucking brain and too many mechanics and types of gameplay in one game. If you're looking for an extremely high ceiling game, this is your jam. In one mission you can be investigating, in-field timer minigaming, puzzle mini-gaming, action-battling, field puzzle-solving with your 5 types of legions, going through long dungeons with in-battle live-action puzzle-solving with your 5 different types of legions (omg the pressure help i can't i'm too slow) and hidden treasure, stealth missioning with legion-puzzle-solving (the crouch control is terrible). But the gameplay...the fighting....I felt like I was so fking amazing GOOD at the game because it is SATISFYING and TIMING-BASED and STYLISH and FUN. Turns out later I wasn't even close to being pro, but I still enjoyed the heck out of this game. Was extremely long though, be prepared!

love hate relationship, it's frigging hard. also i didn't want to replay for multiple endings because i got the frustrating ending XD but it's an amazing game. really challenged myself c:<

Did a great job of improving on things from Octopath I. Lots more content that shows more of the bonds and friendships between folks in the party. Lots of easter eggs and big brain thinking in the story. Love it. I hate that I missed all of them. I hate how good they are at doing this. Masterminds! Love some of the new aspects they brought in to travelling and exploration. My fave stories were Temenos, Castti, Osvald, and Partitio's was fun too! Being a pokemon master was extra duper fun with Oschette. SPOILER WARNING A BIG AFTER THIS The ending, I felt, was a bit hand-fed, in comparison to Octopath I, but I get why they did that. Helps so everyone can properly finish things, instead of only the top 1% of gamers.

KIRBY, this game was LEGIT Hal doin MAGIC It starts off super easy, holds your hand to show you "secret" things, but then it gets REALLY GOOD. Creative level designs that match the really wacky "Mouthful" abilities, actual mechanics and really good enhanced powerups, level/secret scaling that MAKES SENSE. This game gets DIFFICULT. I feel like I'm playing Monster Hunter now and I can't beat the final final final boss 🙃. The levels are SO CUTE and CREATIVE and VARIED and just, I LOVE THIS GAME.

peak game design and story and storytelling. amazing way to bring back people to relive childhood nostalgia and embrace fun and role playing no matter what age you are. love it. took 1 night to 100%.

I know lots of other 2D OG sonic fans don't love this, but as a 3D RPG/platformer gamer I LOVED THIS! It was so fun! Some bugs and some frustrating difficulty spikes, but IT IS SO FUN TO JUST ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM AROUND! I love all the worlds, and I wish it never ended. The music is also bomb of course, cuz it's sanic. Story is...weh. But we're all here for one thing....TO SPEED
