Tales of Eternia is an action japanese role playing game, with real time battle scenes (combos and spells can be assigned to the face buttons). The game is set in the fantasy world of Inferia, follows the story of a young hunter named Reid Hershel and his friends, Farah and Keele, as they meet a mysterious girl who speaks an unknown language. Their subsequent quest to discover her origins leads them across a dimensional boundary to an entirely different realm known as Celestia, where they become involved in an age-old conflict between the two worlds. It would later inspire a 13-episode anime co-produced by Production I.G loosely based on the game's plot.

The third entry in the Tales of Series and the visuals are way better than the previous two. It really shows them trying to get out of the pixelated 2D graphics and more into the 3D pivoted angle. Everything is definitely clearer to distinguish and more vibrant. The gameplay is better as well especially when playing with friends or the other characters. Each character has their unique mechanic and you wouldn't know this if you just stick to the main character. (Something I regrettably did.) The one thing I don't like is a mechanic that's used once during the final boss and if you miss it, you'll have to do it all over again. So make it count! The story was good. It wasn't as drama filled as Destiny but it definitely have it's own twists. The music was also good but nothing too memorable; it sets the scenes a bit. Besides that I don't think it's a bad game and it's not bad to pickup if you do. Just make sure to have funs with it and explore the other characters more.
