Max Payne 3 is a third-person shooter in which the player assumes the role of its titular character, Max Payne. A new feature to the series, introduced in Max Payne 3, is the cover system, which allows players to gain a tactical advantage, and avoid taking damage from enemies. To progress through the linear story, players take on enemies throughout levels. The game features interactive cutscenes which transition seamlessly into continuing gameplay; there are no loading screens across gameplay and cutscenes.

MAX PAYNE 3 7/8 GRAFICA:7/8 SONORO:8 1/2 GIOCABILITA':8 1/2 LONGEVITA':7/8 TRAMA:8 EMOZIONE:7 1/2 +Il dramma del personaggio +Gameplay classico e ottimo +Storia bella... -...che forse odora un po' di già visto -Numerosi bug -Nessuna particolarità di rilievo rispetto ai soliti canoni Rockstar Questo gioco mantiene la tradizione della saga:tormento,spettacolarità di gameplay e titanismo del personaggio. Peccato che il gioco(uscito nel 2012) presenti diversi bug, una realizzazione tecnica piuttosto arretrata per l'epoca e errori grossolani non da anni 2010'(si ammazzano tanti nemici con la stessa faccia, si passa attraverso i muri, ecc.). Nonostante questo, MP3 riesce ad intrattenere per bene il giocatore nell'arco della sua giusta durata e non fa mai pensare al giocatore il desiderio di arrivare alla fine del gioco. La storia continua lo strazio dell'ottimo personaggio, pur non raggiungendo vette che alcuni "colleghi"del genere hanno raggiunto(Red dead redemption, Mafia 2, ecc.). Va citato in positivo l'ottimo doppiaggio inglese dei personaggi, soprattutto dello stesso Max. MP3 chiude(?) la saga con un titolo che cerca di andare sopra le righe riuscendoci solamente in parte; grazie alle sue "americanate" riesce a strappare un buonissimo voto, peccato per i problemi tecnici, che, se non ci fossero stati, non avrebbero guastato una storia seppur già vista, ma comunque affascinante.

After 1,662 kills and a playthrough of Max Payne 3, you learn that life is cheap—and so was the QA department. A greatly annoying game that could have been the best in the Max Payne series, both gameplay-wise and mechanically. I love the graphics and the mechanics of the game, but they are broken half of the time. It insists on playing the game for you, taking control out of your hands every other minute. If the game did not do these things, it might have been an all-time favorite. Annoying cutscenes break up the action and gameplay all the time (this is not an exaggeration). It takes control of almost every interaction; 90% of the doors you enter lead to a cutscene. Why? Do you want to go around collecting hidden items or ammo? Don't head to the wrong place—the game takes control and forces you out of the area. If the Guinness World Records had a prize for most cutscenes, this game would win it. The game also wrests control away from you mid-fight, mid-action. Suddenly, you have to shoot a specific person. The game occasionally oversteers your controls. When a cutscene takes over, which happens frequently, it decides to dump or change your chosen weapon and throws you right back into the action, assuming you have the same weapons as before the cutscene. There are mostly no environmental challenges like in the previous games because it would rather just show you a cutscene and play the game for you. The cutscenes are mostly pointless exposition and word salads. They are badly written compared to previous installments. The story is a convoluted mess that serves merely as an excuse for extravagant shootouts, which would be fine if it weren't for spending half the game in unnecessary cutscenes. What a hot mess! Still, the action and mechanics of the game are great when it doesn’t play itself.

Je l'ai poncé trés vite avec bien entendu, les derniers niveaux en compagnie de ma petite copine de l'époque qui en est resté un peu choquée 🤣. Fusillades sur fusillades, un vrai défouloir, la encore.
