Some of the gameplay mechanics were really unique and well implemented. The game saves a lot of your progress when you die, so you don't get frustrated having to redo the same things over and over. Unfortunately, the story was very bland.

Story

Gameplay is more than a walking simulator. You can open doors, look at objects, etc, but you're also able to crouch, and your interactions with various buttons, items, and events in the game are fairly satisfying for a walking simulator. The story made me angry and hit a little too close to home, but it was told fairly well with journal entries and memory triggering items in the world. You play a character who is trapped in purgatory in their own home, haunted and hunted by the things you did in life. The visuals were good, but the 3d person models could use a bit of work. They moved well though, and were detailed enough to wonder if you saw what you just saw. The soundtrack was also very good, since most of the scares are audio based and the atmosphere definitely sucked me in at times. The voice acting was good, and you could hear so much emotion in the recited memories when you found them.

Definitely enjoyed playing the game. The storyline was very interesting. It had its jumpscare moments. I just wish it was more eerie considering the story it has. I wish I could've seen more clips of how abusive the household was. To make the game more scary but overall still enjoyed playing this game.

Inflicton aborda o tem de violência doméstica, envolvendo ao mesmo tempo o sobrenatural o quê nessa parte poderia ter sido um pouco mais trabalhado já que gera uma certa confusão. No geral o jogo por ser INDIE tem um capricho com destaque no cuidado do design geral do jogo e nesse quisito os desenvolvedores estão de parabéns. Bem como o looping sem exageros e cuidadosamente colocados. Quanto a sonoridade está ok para um jogo de horror casa muito bem com os jump scare. Com jogabilidade simples sem problemas para qualquer jogador. No final a surpresa da galeria muito mas muito bem montada com os bastidores do jogo. No geral eu gostei muito.

Infliction was a slow burn at the beginning, but quickly made up for it with creepy/trippy time warp elements. Worth checking out!
