They ruined one of my favorite Final Fantasy spin off titles and I am STILL not over it. All you had to do was retain the original multiplayer and make it online, SE and you couldn't even do that! Sure, they restored some of the cut dungeons but at what cost? At it's core it's a fairly mediocre dungeon crawler, with a ton of charm and some fantastic music. The whole town aspect and returning every year, seeing yours and your friends' families really made the game special. But the remaster gutted all that and focused on the WORST aspects of the game and this mess is the result. It gets an additional half star for adding voice acting though, as that is a welcome addition. Best way to play this is either in person with your friends (which is expensive as hell) or via emulation over the internet. Luckily, with the right GBA emulator it actually does work in multiplayer! If you have the hardware for it, play it that way!
