So, I have played this game three time. Like the other FF XIII games I have played it once with my sister, a second time for my old YouTube channel, and now a third time for Twitch. I did not finish for my Twitch channel. I stopped playing it sometime in the summer and did not pick it back up since due my involvement with my personal projects. With the new year here, I was like you know what... I am not feeling like playing it anymore and it has already been so long. Plus, I can always replay whenever I do another FF 13 replay. I do really like this game, there is a lot to love about it and it is on the shorter side. However, if you are someone who gets overwhelmed with time limits, this may not be your game. I do love exploring all the different sections of the world. Without a party it can feel a bit... less fun but Lightning still holds her own. I also love the soundtrack. One of the most unique soundtracks I have ever heard. I still listen to it till this day. I also really like all the different outfits Lightning can wear, though some are very ugly and too much. I like the plot, its simple but effective for the last game of FF13 trilogy. I also really like the battle system and all the different side quest you can do. The best part of the game is the ending. After everything these characters have been through, a happy ending felt right. It was so wholesome. And ya know, back when I had my previous YouTube channel I did beat the game on video so... I am content not finishing the game on Twitch.
This is a game I thought I'd have more fun with. I got it on a sale so I didn't pay full price for it. I didn't really enjoy my time. The story felt, even for a visual novel, uninspired. Like it didn't really have much going for it. I get there like 10 games so the story span across that, but the first game should have more depth to it. I felt like we were only focused on our main character the whole time instead of getting to know these other girls. The art style was great. I liked the girls' designs. Hiroki was that typical everyday man character.
